In San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, young entrepreneurs continue to demonstrate how determination and innovation can transform simple ideas into sustainable enterprises—proving that growth does not always come in big leaps, but in small, consistent steps: “1% better every day.”

Founded in March 2021 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Isla Sizzling was established by Rafie Joy Llego and Khristian Kyle Cabanban best friends and former boardmates in Cebu whose shared love for sisig sparked a business idea.

With limited resources but strong resolve, the duo started with a modest, self-built hut, personally managing every aspect of the operation from food preparation and cooking to customer service. Despite having no formal business background, they relied on creativity, perseverance, and teamwork to bring their vision to life.

What began as a simple income-generating effort during a time of crisis gradually evolved into a growing local enterprise. Isla Sizzling offers a variety of affordable and satisfying meals, highlighted by their signature sizzling pork sisig served in combo meals, platters, and ala carte options.

They also serve other Filipino favorites such as lechon kawali, garlic shrimp, and silog meals, complemented by desserts like bazo de mercedes and black sambo, refreshing beverages such as mango shakes and juices. With their unli rice, unli soup, and free juice offerings, combined with a warm, island-inspired dining experience, the busin ess quickly gained traction and strong community support.

Today, Isla Sizzling - San Francisco, ADS stands as a testament to youth-driven entrepreneurship. From humble beginnings, it has grown into a multi-branch business, proving that with vision and consistency, even simple ideas can lead to lasting success.

As more young entrepreneurs rise in San Francisco, they continue to create opportunities, generate employment, and strengthen the local economy.
