San Nicolas High School of Anao-aon, Inc. marked a significant milestone on June 4, 2026, as Taganito Mining Corporation (TMC) formally turned over a school bus to the institution during a ceremonial program held at the school campus.

The turnover ceremony was graced by distinguished representatives from Taganito Mining Corporation, namely Ms. Agnes D. Sabijon, Admin Group Manager; Ms. Judy B. Urbiztondo, Community Relations Assistant Manager – DHNC; Ms. Imelith Matabaran, Community Relations Assistant Manager – IEC; Mr. Venjie Silos, Transportation and Shipping Assistant Manager; and Ms. Chamelyn Gonzaga, DHNC Supervisor.

The event underscored the enduring partnership between the education sector and the corporate community in advancing accessible and quality education for learners, particularly those coming from geographically distant communities.

In his message, Msgr. Edito N. Alcala, SDSS Superintendent, expressed his profound gratitude to Taganito Mining Corporation for its generous contribution. Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, he remarked that the provision of the school bus represents the realization of a long-cherished aspiration of the school community and stands as a testament to the corporation’s commitment to educational development. He further conveyed the institution’s sincere appreciation for the support extended by TMC, emphasizing the positive impact the donation will have on the lives of countless learners.

Meanwhile, Ms. Agnes D. Sabijon, Admin Group Manager of Taganito Mining Corporation, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to community development and educational support. In her address, she expressed her hope that the school bus would serve a greater number of learners by providing them with safe and reliable transportation. She likewise conveyed the company’s fulfillment in being able to contribute to an initiative that will create lasting benefits for students and their families.

The newly acquired school bus is expected to enhance the mobility and accessibility of learners, enabling them to attend classes more conveniently and safely. It also reflects the shared commitment of San Nicolas High School of Anao-aon, Inc. and Taganito Mining Corporation to fostering educational opportunities and promoting student welfare.
