PREPARING WITH PURPOSE | CamotesNHS Strengthens Emergency Readiness

Preparedness begins with collaboration. Camotes National High School conducted an important preparatory meeting with the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Team, Incident Command System (ICS) Team, and Junior Emergency Response Team (JERT) in preparation for the Simulation School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents, rescheduled for September 3, 2026.

The meeting focused on finalizing safety protocols, clarifying roles and responsibilities, strengthening communication and emergency response procedures, identifying designated areas and evacuation routes, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are ready.

CamotesNHS extends its heartfelt gratitude to the San Francisco PNP personnel, Hon. Alan R. Arrojado, SB Chairman of the Committee on Peace and Order, and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel, spearheaded by Ma’am Monica Piquero Tan, for their invaluable presence, expertise, and support in strengthening the school’s preparedness and coordinated emergency response.

The installation of a fence along the walking area helps provide a safer passage and prevents illegal parking that could put our students at risk.

HAPPENING RIGHT NOW | CamotesNHS Joins the “District Echo-Training on the Alignment of Classroom and National Assessments”

Engaged. Aligned. Empowered. Camotes National High School is actively participating in the District Echo-Training on the Alignment of Classroom and National Assessments, happening today at the San Francisco Central School SPED Center in Southern Poblacion, San Francisco, Cebu.

The training provides our teachers with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of assessment alignment and strengthen classroom assessment practices, ensuring that assessment remains meaningful, relevant, and responsive to the needs of every learner.

The active participation of our CamotesNHS teachers is spearheaded by our dear Principal, Dr. Gualberto C. Otadoy Jr., whose leadership continues to foster a culture of professional growth, continuous learning, and excellence among our teaching personnel.
