Though this post comes a little late, the warmth, joy, and gratitude felt that day remain unforgettable ✨

In celebration of World Teachers’ Month, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Agusan del Sur National High School proudly held Handog Pasasalamat 2025 β€” a one-day event dedicated to honoring the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our beloved teachers.

The celebration opened with the pinning of corsages alongside a welcoming salvo by our school’s Drum and Lyre Corps. It was followed by the Harana para kay G**o, led by the ASNHS Musical Club, where teachers were serenaded and given tokens of appreciation during the flag ceremony.

Students shared heartfelt messages through the Wall of Gratitude and Thank-a-Teacher Box, while the BKB+’s Teachers’ Got Talent brought laughter and joy as teachers showcased their hidden skills.

𝗔 Message from the ASNHS Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) on the Gradual Resumption of Face-to-Face Classes

As stated in the official post of our school page, only selected programs and tracks will resume face-to-face classes starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025, while others will continue with modular or online learning for now, as each will have its turn β€” shifting in due time, as mentioned by our school principal. This is not a matter of favoritism, but a carefully planned process to ensure a safe and organized return for everyone.

We ask everyone to take a moment to comprehend the message before taking action. Let’s not act on assumptions. We are learners of Agusan del Sur National High School. Let us prove that ASNHS is not uneducated, nor are we easily misled. Ignorance is a choice, and as learners, we must choose to understand before we react.

Be confrontational, but always respectful. Raise your concerns, but never through slander or hostility toward any member of our community, be it our school administrators, teaching personnel, or fellow learners.

In our school mantra, we live by the words: β€œOur Best, Always.” But we cannot give our best when we are divided. We cannot be a if we have conflict.

The SSLG stands with the entire AgSur High community β€” learners, teachers, and administrators alike, in upholding understanding and respect during this time.

🌱 NEW ME, NEW TREE 🌱

Fortifying their commitment to the values of learner-leadership through environmental consciousness, our SSLG officers together with the Barkada Kontra Bisyo Plus (BKB+) of Agusan del Sur National High School took part in β€œNew Me, New Tree,” a Tree Planting Activity held in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur, spearheaded by the Division Federation Barkada Kontra Bisyo Plus. πŸ’š

Despite the unexpected interruption caused by an earthquake, our learner-leaders remained steadfast, proving that no tremor can shake their resolve to foster a greener, more sustainable tomorrow. 🌳πŸ’ͺ

ANNOUNCEMENT

In consideration of the traumatic experiences brought about by the earthquake last Oct. 10, 2025 (and its recent aftershocks) and the pending inspection report on our school facilities, we will temporarily shift to a Modular Distance Learning Modality, with both synchronous and asynchronous sessions, starting Monday, Oct. 13, 2025 until further notice.

All teachers and staff shall work from home as we continue learning in the safest way possible. Distribution and retrieval of modules, as well as online coordination with parents and students, will proceed as scheduled under the guidance of the advisers.

This temporary adjustment aims to prioritize everyone’s safety, mental well-being, and learning continuity. Let’s continue to support and care for one another as we heal and move forward together.

Stay safe and calm, everyone. πŸ’–
