During Sundayag 2025, the Red Cross Youth and ASSCERT responders stood with courage and readiness, serving as standby first aiders for our school community. In moments of excitement and exhaustion, we chose to serve.

And as our newly trained members stepped into action for the first time, we were reminded that service begins with willingness, grows with teamwork, and shines through compassion.

Because true service is not only about responding to emergencies, but also about showing heart, unity, and purpose in every moment. ❤️

When the earthquake struck on October 10, 2025, the Red Cross Youth and ASSCERT (ASNHSchool & Community Emergency Response Team - Asscert ) responders rose with courage and compassion, providing first aid and support to students in need. In moments of fear, we chose to serve.

Days later, on October 16, we joined the Psychological First Aid (PFA) session led by our school nurse and RCY adviser, Ms. Nariz Antoinnette Delos Santos, reminding us that even responders need healing too.

Because true service is not only about saving others, but also about finding strength, peace, and purpose within ourselves. ❤️

Day 2: Strength, Skill, and Service ✨

Day 2 of our Emergency First Aid Training was all about pushing ourselves further and proving that learning goes beyond theory, it’s about action, teamwork, and heart. 💪

We started the day with our assessments, where we were challenged to perform various types of bandaging within limited time. It wasn’t just about speed, but precision, confidence, and presence of mind. After that, we executed different ways of lifting, whether individually, with a partner, or as a group, realizing that every move requires trust and cooperation. 🤝

We also had our team assessment in patient care, where we learned that saving lives is never a solo mission, it’s a team effort that demands clear communication and unity. And finally, the real test came when our instructors placed us in simulated real-life emergencies. These scenarios reminded us that in the face of uncertainty, only readiness, courage, and compassion will guide our actions. 🚑❤️

Today, we didn’t just train; we grew. We became more than just participants, we became aspiring first aiders ready to face challenges with strength and serve others with dedication. 🌟

Because in the end, being a first aider isn’t just about skills, it’s about having the heart to step forward when others step back. 🩹✨

Day 1: Uncovering the Heart of a Lifesaver 🔥

The first day of our Emergency First Aid Training was more than just lessons, it was the beginning of a journey to becoming the kind of people who stand up in moments that matter most. Together with other councils, we discovered the skills to treat and care for those in need, but more importantly, we realized that first aid is not just about knowledge, it’s about courage, compassion, and commitment.

Every bandage tied, every step practiced, is a promise that we are ready to serve, ready to help, and ready to save lives. This is only the start, but the impact we can make begins here. ❤️✨
