𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜: The governments at the city, provincial, and national levels have subsequently issued orders suspending classes and government work in various regions, including Central Luzon, which covers the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Fernandinos, please be guided by these important dates to remember regarding class and work suspension amid the ongoing effects of Super Typhoon Uwan:

𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬–𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆–𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆
Suspension of classes at all levels (public and private)

𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆
Suspension of work in City Government offices and annexes (except in offices whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness and response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services).

Amid the work suspension, the City Government’s Emergency Operations Center remains fully activated and operating 24 hours a day.

To the concerned individuals, we would like to clarify that through this advisory, the City Government of San Fernando is implementing Malacañang’s Memorandum Circular No. 106.

This means that the suspension of classes on November 10 and 11 in San Fernando applies to both face-to-face (in-person) and all alternative learning modalities.

We hope this clarifies the matter.

The Department of Education (DepEd) recently declared a four-day Midyear/Wellness Break for teachers and learners, pursuant to Department Order No. 012, s. 2025. In line with this, the City Government of San Fernando advises all Fernandinos to take note of the important academic and Undas dates to remember:

• 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟳-𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | Midyear/Wellness Break for Teachers and Learners
• 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟭-𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | All Saints' Day Eve and All Saints' Day (Special Non-Working Days)
• 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | All Souls' Day
• 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | Resumption of Classes

Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag expressed her support for this DepEd measure, which was locally adopted by City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Shirley Zipagan through SDA No. 540, s. 2025.

According to DepEd, the Midyear/Wellness Break “recognizes the need to support the overall well-being of teaching personnel—a critical foundation of education quality.”
