🚫 THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK. EVERY THREAT IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY. 🚫
Pao Elementary School joins the nationwide campaign to promote a safe, secure, and learner-friendly school environment by reminding everyone that bomb threats and bomb jokes are never funny—they are criminal acts with serious consequences.
Any false statement, prank, text message, phone call, or social media post claiming the presence of a bomb can create fear, disrupt classes, endanger lives, and divert emergency responders from real emergencies.
Under Presidential Decree No. 1727, making or spreading a false bomb threat or bomb joke is punishable by law and may result in arrest, imprisonment, fines, and criminal prosecution.
Likewise, under DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026, bomb threats and bomb jokes are classified as Third-Level (Grave) Offenses. Learners who commit these acts are subject to the following disciplinary sanctions:
🔹 First Offense: Non-Readmission to the school for the succeeding school year, with referral to the appropriate authorities for investigation and intervention.
🔹 Second Offense: Exclusion from the school and referral to the appropriate authorities for appropriate legal and protective action.
Parents, guardians, learners, and community members are encouraged to work together in fostering a culture of responsibility, respect, and vigilance. Before making a joke, sending a message, or posting online, remember that a single irresponsible act can have lasting legal, disciplinary, and emotional consequences.
Let us all do our part in keeping our school safe.
Safe Schools Begin with Responsible Learners.
