Today, June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 AM, learners, teachers, and personnel of **LUNHS SACYUD ANNEX** actively participated in the **National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)**. The activity aimed to enhance disaster preparedness and promote awareness on the proper actions to take during an earthquake.

Through the practice of **"Duck, Cover, and Hold"** and the orderly evacuation procedures, participants demonstrated their commitment to safety and readiness in times of emergencies.

New beginnings and fresh goals! 📋✨ >
We are kicking off today’s event with our traditional Flag Raising Ceremony, followed by a warm welcome and our General Orientation. Here's a quick look at today's program line-up as we introduce our club officers and personnel. Let’s make this a productive and successful year ahead!

1. Flag Raising Ceremony

This is the traditional morning assembly. In Philippine public institutions, it is a legal requirement to sing a specific sequence of hymns from the national down to the local level:

National Anthem: Lupang Hinirang.

Region 1 Hymn: The official anthem of the Ilocos Region ("O, Saniata ti Amianan").

La Union Hymn: The official anthem of the province of La Union.

City Hymn: The anthem of the specific city where the event is being held (likely San Fernando City, the capital of La Union).

SDO Hymn: SDO stands for Schools Division Office (under the Department of Education / DepEd). This is the anthem specific to that local school district's division.

2. Event Activities

Opening Remarks / Welcome Program: The introductory speeches to welcome the attendees and set the tone for the day.

Presentation of Club Officers, Personnels: Introducing the newly elected leaders, student/faculty club officers, and working staff.

Presentation of Offices: Introducing the different physical offices, departments, or bureaus within the organization so people know where to go for specific needs.

Recess: A short coffee, snack, or rest break.

General Orientation: The main event where rules, guidelines, expectations, and the calendar of activities for the upcoming year or term are explained to everyone.
