The Institute of Criminal Justice Education (ICJE) successfully hosted the seminar "Changing Nature of Global Conflict" on December 9, 2025. The event brought together students from the BPA department, BS Criminology, and BA Political Science programs. The main speaker was Dr. Krista Wiegand, Director of the Center for National Security and Foreign Affairs. She is currently visiting DMMMSU-MLUC through the Fulbright Specialist Program.
Dr. Wiegand's session featured a lecture on Global Conflict, Power, Peace, and Politics. She discussed the roles of power and international cooperation. This was followed by multimedia presentations and a fun game that encouraged different colleges to work together and negotiate, using the principles learned in the lecture.
The seminar wrapped up with a Reflective Insight Activity where students from all departments shared their work. Attendees gained valuable knowledge and skills in global affairs. They left inspired to apply what they learned to real-world situations. We thank the organizers and Dr. Wiegand for a productive event.
