She is the first Filipino to receive the George Foster Peabody Award and has been named Reader’s Digest Asia’s “Most Trusted TV Host for News and Current Affairs” for 13 consecutive years. In 2018, she was honored with the Gawad Plaridel—the highest award given by the UP Diliman College of Media and Communication—for her commitment to ethical, public service–oriented media practice.
