Jacob Sacro. With their passion for flying and years of vast experience, these men collaborated to create LEIAAI and pursue their dream of an aviation school that will produce world-class pilots. LEIAAI is a wholly owned subsidiary of ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative, the largest cooperative in the Philippines. LEIAAI’s main office and flight training facility is located in San Fernando Airport, Poro Point Freeport Zone, San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines. The school is adequately equipped with modern classrooms, two (2) hangars, two (2) flight simulator training devices, a training fleet composed of thirty (30) Cessna 172, two (2) Cessna 152, and professional instructors.

On August 18, 2026, SP Jon Linfred Victor Quano of Batch 2026-01 successfully completed his first solo flight at Bantayan Airport, Cebu. His Flight Checker, Capt. Chuck A. Luat, along with SP Ouano’s pre-solo instructor, Capt. Franz Dominic C. Bautista, released our soloist on a Cessna 172 aircraft o/a 1612H. SP Ouano is 22 years old and resides in Mandaue City. He is also an alumnus of Indiana Aerospace University with a BS Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.

LEIAAI and DLSU Formalize Partnership βœˆοΈπŸŽ“

Leading Edge International Aviation Academy Inc. (LEIAAI) and De La Salle University (DLSU) formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony held on 14 August 2026 at DLSU.

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the two institutions in areas related to aviation education, career development, student engagement, industry exposure, and other initiatives that may contribute to the development of future aviation professionals.

Through this partnership, LEIAAI looks forward to exploring opportunities for student internships and on-the-job training (OJT), career talks, industry engagement, and other appropriate activities, in coordination with DLSU and subject to the respective policies and procedures of both institutions.

LEIAAI is committed to building meaningful partnerships with academic institutions and industry stakeholders that support student learning, career readiness, and the development of the next generation of aviation professionals.

On August 19, 2026, SP Jedrzyn Tania M. Manangan successfully completed her first solo flight at San Fernando Airport, La Union, becoming the first soloist from National Aviation Academy of the Philippines (NAAP) PPL Batch Echo.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, SP Manangan was released for her milestone flight at approximately 0825H aboard a Cessna 172 aircraft. Her Flight Checker, LEIAAI’s Vice President for Operations, Capt. Antonino B. Salvosa, together with her pre-solo instructors, Capt. Marcel Angelo C. Balabbo and LEIAAI’s Safety Manager, Capt. Carlo Baccay, who guided and supported her throughout this significant achievement.

SP Manangan, 21, is from Ilagan City, Isabela, and is currently taking up BS in Air Transportation, major in Advanced Flying in NAAP.
