The Junior Institute of Future Accountants (JIFA) from the School of Business Sciences team proudly joined the Community Convergence held yesterday at Sta. Monica, Bauang, La Union. This meaningful community service activity strengthened our commitment to engagement, collaboration, and extending our knowledge as we continue to serve and connect with our partner communities. Through this event, JIFA was able to participate in activities that helped build stronger relationships with the residents and partner organizations, allowing the team to understand community needs and contribute in simple yet meaningful ways.

The School of Business Sciences (SBS) conducted a focused training on Bookkeeping, Education, and Skills Development for Barangay Councils and SK Officials. This initiative aimed to strengthen the financial management capabilities of local leaders by providing essential knowledge and practical guidance. The program emphasized the fundamentals of proper bookkeeping and accurate recording of funds, the effective use of the required Chart of Accounts, and the importance of transparency and accountability in managing Barangay and SK finances. Through this activity, SBS empowered community officials to improve their financial operations and uphold good governance practices.

Today, we are very proud to celebrate the success of our JIFA family. Four of our members passed the Civil Service Examination this October 2025.

This is a big achievement for them. It shows how hard they studied, how strong they stayed, and how they never gave up on their dreams. They faced many challenges, but they continued to work hard to reach their goal.

Their success inspires other students to keep going and believe in themselves. We are so proud of them and their hard work. This is just the beginning of their journey to serve and lead.

Congratulations to our CSE passers from JPIA! Your achievement is an inspiration to us all. βœ¨πŸ’š

Student leaders from UCC gathered at the Conference Hall for the Student Leaders' Convergence with the theme "Lead the Charge: Raising Accountable Leaders, Cultivating Responsible Services, and Championing Excellence." 🀩

UCC SSC President Adriez Trichol Catbagan opened the program with a strong message. He reminded everyone that real leadership does not depend on titles or positions, but on self-discipline and self-mastery. "Leadership starts with self-discipline. If you can't even manage yourself, how can you manage others?" he challenged the crowd. 🫑🀝🏻

This was followed by a life-saving skills training facilitated by Mr. Arvin F. Balcita, Chapter Service Representative of the Philippine Red Cross La Union Chapter. The session covered essential areas such as basic first aid, safety response, CPR, and emergency simulation drills. ⛑️

Through these activities, participants were given the opportunity not only to learn practical techniques but also to apply them in real-life scenarios. The training emphasized the importance of being prepared during emergencies. ✨
