Spectra: The SHS Science Collective is on the ground today at Ilocanos, City of San Fernando, joining the Coastal Clean-Up Drive cm HIV and Firecrackers Injury Prevention Advocacy. Aligned with DepEd Region 1's Project SAFE-T, this early morning initiative perfectly merges our commitment to environmental stewardship with proactive health education. As we comb the shoreline for waste, we’re also raising awareness on crucial December observances—World AIDS Day and Firecrackers Injury Prevention Month—turning theory into tangible community action.

This activity embodies our collective’s core belief: “𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮.” By integrating the goals of accurate HIV information dissemination, safety consciousness for holiday celebrations, and hands-on environmental care, we are living out the holistic spirit of Project SAFE-T. Every piece of litter collected and every conversation started about health and safety reinforces the importance of informed choices and community cooperation for a safer, cleaner La Union.

We are proud to participate in this DepEd-led initiative, demonstrating that learning extends far beyond the classroom. As Spectra members work alongside education personnel, we are fostering a culture of responsibility—for our bodies, our communities, and our shared environment. This is science in action, serving the community with purpose and dedication.

This amazing initiative is all about hitting pause on academics to just play, move, and connect. 𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙀𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙊𝘿𝘼𝙔: What a vibrant and productive day at DepEd Tayo La Union National High School! Our Second Quarter General Assembly and Card Day brought together the heart of our school community: our dedicated Classroom Advisers from Grade 7 to 12, our amazing parents and guardians, and our wonderful students. The energy was palpable as we kicked off with a warm Kumustahan Session, fostering that essential connection between home and school. A huge thank you to our dynamic leaders, Principal Ma'am Arlyn Bambico and our Department Heads led by Sir Jeffrey Olbinado, for steering this important initiative toward success.

We had so much to celebrate! The program was filled with proud moments, from recognizing our learners' brilliance during the School Winnings segment to showcasing our commitment to sustainability with Gulayan sa Paaralan. The excitement for the upcoming 1st Urban Boy Scout Jamboree right here at LUNHS is also building! Spectra: The SHS Science Collective fully supports this collaborative event, proving that when we all work together, we create an environment where every student can thrive.

The most crucial part of the day was the Teacher and Parent Conference. These face-to-face conversations about our students' progress are the cornerstone of their academic journey. Seeing everyone engaged in open dialogue, celebrating victories, and planning for future success truly embodies our shared goal: to nurture not just successful students, but well-rounded and responsible individuals.
