Easter Sunday is the climax of all liturgical celebration, it is the moment where Jesus was raised from the dead. He conquered sin and hell that we might also rise with Him triumphant and glorious, as we have concluded the season of Lent may we journey with Christ this easter season, renewed and joyful, GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!

Black Saturday is a moment of prayerful silence and waiting. Everything lies low as everyone awaits Jesus’ resurrection, this is not the time for joyful celebration nor for beach escapades, it is a time of intense silence as we slowly process what have just happened yesterday. Let us then wait in silence and eagerly anticipate the resurrection of the Lord.

Good Friday concludes the suffering of Jesus. His agonizing heart staring from the cross, filled with pity and mercy upon us is the center of today’s commemoration. Like Jesus, may we know how to carry our crosses and trials and walk alongside Jesus that we may never be put astray.

Maundy Thursday calls us to celebrate the gift of priesthood, the eucharist, and prayer. During this time Jesus showed us what service truly meant, He called us to serve and not to be served, for whoever is the greatest among us shall be the last, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted. This is the beginning of the sacred paschal mystery, the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ.

We commemorate today the triumphant entry of Jesus in Jerusalem. The shouts of joy and hosanna that welcomes Him is a testament of the world that needs His salvation. However, the same people who shouted those words were the same people who declared crucify Him! Today, are you the people who betrayed Jesus?

Jesus weeps at Lazarus’ tomb, then cries, β€œLazarus, come out!”—turning mourning into miracle (John 11:43). Wrapped in burial bands, Lazarus stumbles free as Jesus commands, β€œUnbind him, and let him go.”
This Lent’s end nears: What grave clothes bind youβ€”resentments, addictions, fears? Hear Christ’s voice calling you to resurrection life now. Step out; let others loose your chains!

Laetare! Rejoiceβ€”this Sunday invites joy amid penance. In the Prodigal Son, we see ourselves: wandering far, squandering gifts, yet running back to a Father who races to embrace us, robe, ring, and feast ready (Luke 15:20-24).
No matter how far you’ve strayed this Lent, mercy awaits. Drop the pig slop of sin; step into the welcome home. Who’s your β€œolder brother” needing to celebrate grace today?

In today’s Gospel, Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well, offering her β€œliving water” that quenches our deepest longings forever (John 4:14). Like her, we often chase temporary fixesβ€”scrolls, stresses, distractionsβ€”that leave us empty.

This Lent, pause at your own well. What hidden thirsts do you carry? Let Jesus reveal Himself as Messiah, transforming shame into joy. Leave your jar behind and share His gift!

Here at Saint Louis College, masses are a pivotal celebration that hones the spirituality of every student, it also provides an avenue for the learners to get closer to God, open up their needs, and ask for help, guidance, and strength.

The Basic Education Schools of Saint Louis College started the Lenten Season solemnly together with the celebration of Ash Wednesday last February 18, 2025. The imposition of ashes was the highlight of the celebration, ashes symbolizes true repentance, conversion, and a deep longing for God. Lenten season calls us to do three things: Pray- for prayer builds deeper and stronger connection to God; Give- through charity we learn to emphasize with others and be a blessing to them; Fast- fasting makes us realize our dependence to God, the giver of all, it also helps us recognize hunger and so be one with the sufferings of Christ.

The Gospel of Matthew 17:1-9 recounts the Transfiguration, wherein Our Lord Jesus Christ is transfigured before Peter, James, and John. His countenance radiates as the sun, His garments whiten as light, and the Father’s voice resounds: β€œThis is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

This revelation of divine glory precedes the Passion, underscoring that true discipleship unites splendor with sacrifice. In this Lenten season, we students are called to ascend our own mount of trialβ€”through disciplined fasting, fervent prayer, and almsgiving amid academic demands. The rigors of study, examinations, and intellectual pursuits become offerings, mirroring Christ’s ascent to Calvary.

Let us heed the divine imperative: attend to Christ. In Him, our labors find eternal purpose.
