The Lorma Colleges NSTP Office received a Special Citation for Volunteer Service in Support of Disaster Response Operations during the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office I (DSWD RO I) on March 19, 2026, held at the Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The recognition was awarded in acknowledgment of the Lorma NSTP Officeโs active support and valuable contribution to disaster response operations through its committed NSTP student volunteers. The partnership between Lorma Colleges and DSWD RO I began last semester and has since become a meaningful collaboration rooted in service, compassion, and civic responsibility.
This honor is a reflection of the dedication, diligence, and volunteer spirit of the Lorma NSTP student volunteers, whose efforts have greatly contributed to the success of various initiatives in support of communities affected by disasters. Adding to the significance of the recognition, Lorma Colleges was the only school in the Province of La Union to receive the said award. The award was received by Dr. Bernardo Tayaban, CESO-NSTP Director, and Ms. Neferthea Quinquito-Morales, NSTP Coordinator, representing the Lorma NSTP Office during the anniversary celebration.
