LORMA COLLEGES JOINS PROJECT SHINE FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
On August 8, 2026, representatives from the Lorma Colleges Wellness Center and Counseling Services, together with faculty members from the Basic and Inclusive Education Schools, joined fellow educators in Project SHINE: Schools Helping Include Neurodivergent Exceptional Learners held at the San Fernando Champions Center, Santiago Norte, San Fernando City, La Union
The one-day seminar-workshop equipped SPED and non-SPED teachers with practical knowledge and skills in supporting neurodivergent learners. The seminar was organized by the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union, headed by its President, Remigio “Rem” Bonifacion III, in partnership with the Schools Division Office of San Fernando City and the AD/HD Society of the Philippines.
One key reminder from the training resonated deeply:
“Become the teacher that notices. Instead of asking, ‘How do I stop this behavior?’ ask, ‘What is this behavior trying to tell us?’”
Through Project SHINE, Lorma Colleges continues to strengthen its commitment to fostering understanding, learner well-being, and inclusive learning environments where every child is seen, valued, and supported. 💚
