M6: Peace
“I AM A WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!”
Countless women and girls continue to suffer prejudice based on their gender and s*x everywhere in the world. Concerns, including domestic and s*xual abuse, low wages, lack of access to education, and insufficient healthcare, are disproportionately affected by gender inequality and affect women and girls. Women's rights movements have struggled tirelessly to overcome this injustice for a long time, advocating for legislation to be changed or protesting through the streets to demand that their rights be recognized. And new movements have developed in the internet world, like the campaign that calls attention to the prevalence of s*xual harassment and gender-based violence.
Sexual harassment includes all inappropriate s*xual behavior. This could include unwanted s*xual advances or physical contact, asking for or demanding s*xual favors, or using s*xually inappropriate language. Physical s*xual assault is referred to as s*xual violence. The majority of victims of s*xual abuse are women and girls, however men and boys can often become victims, but most of the time, it is women who are overwhelmingly affected. The average number of women who have been involved in a relationship and have suffered physical or s*xual violence at the hands of their partner is 30% worldwide. Women are more likely to suffer s*xual assault, including r**e, and to fall victim to alleged "honour crimes."
The future of women's rights worldwide is in danger. The health, dignity, and fundamental well-being of women and girls around the world are seriously threatened by the U.S. administration's budget changes to foreign aid and strict enforcement, including those relating to abortion, refugee resettlement, and climate change. We need to take into account: Will women lose their hard-won rights globally, or will the backlash instead spark new victories?
In order to help lead the movement for progressive transformation on the most pressing issues of our time, women's movements must be strengthened, and innovative efforts need to be revitalized. True equality won't exist unless women and girls have complete access to the entirety of their rights, including those related to equal pay, property ownership, s*xual freedom, school access, and reproductive health. The only way economies and nations will improve is when women hold leadership positions and peacemaking and have equal voice in politics. The right to self-determination will then be available to all women and girls.
Here are some of the ways on how we could lead the fight for women’s rights:
1. Raise your voice. It matters!
2. Donate to organizations and movements for women.
3. Educate yourselves and the future generations.
4. Know your rights.
5. Support candidates who are aware, who understands and who values the needs and rights of women.
Once again, I am a woman and hear me roar!

M5: Global Demography and Migration
“THE GREATEST THREAT TO HUMAN EXISTENCE IS OUR OWN LACK OF ABILITY TO CONTROL OUR OWN GROWTH”
The warnings of 18th-century philosopher Thomas Mathus are being fulfilled with alarming frequency. He stated in an essay that "Humanity's unquenchable need to reproduce could ultimately cause us to overpopulate the world, eat up all of its resources, and die in a mass famine."
The majority of the world's issues are primarily caused by overpopulation. Every nation in the globe is presently, or soon will be, burdened by difficulties with food shortages, drinking water shortages, and energy shortages. Any given nation is able to maintain its own welfare in part due to the import of goods from abroad. However, this can't go on permanently. In reality, population growth is continuing in every nation. In the future decades, the world population could reach 8 or 10 billion people. There is a significant likelihood that ever-increasing numbers of nations will necessitate their own products.
Migration across national and continental borders has been fueled by overpopulation. International migration is a complicated problem that affects economic, social, and security concerns in a world that is becoming more connected. People in less developed economies understandably want better living conditions and access to opportunity for their children and themselves. In addition, the everyday connections between billions of people made possible by globalization and highly efficient transportation systems encourage people to travel countries in pursuit of better lives for their families.
Strengthened voluntary family planning services might significantly and affordably improve food security and decrease the greenhouse gas emissions that fuel climate change by reducing the rapidly increasing human population. The necessity to reduce unplanned pregnancies and slow population growth is a "demographic bonus" due to a more advantageous age distribution with fewer dependents who are not working is advocated, giving families the option to invest more in the welfare of each child and expanding health facilities and schools.
Here are some of the solutions on how we can prevent overpopulation:
1. Family planning. Having fewer children is enough.
2. Learn about population issues by reading.
3. Teach your children about s*x and contraception as early as possible and without any taboos.
4. Share your information and concerns with your family and friends and use social media to spread the word about population growth.
5. Consider supporting candidates who will offer policy solutions to the negative consequences of population growth.

M4: Cultural Globalization
“ONE WORLD, MANY CULTURES”
A group of people's way of life is referred to as their culture, and it includes things like traditions, conventions, beliefs, language, behavior, rituals, and music (Cowen, 2004). The greatest asset in developing nations is their cultural legacy. The culture of several nations, particularly those in emerging nations, has been significantly impacted by globalization. Innovation and creativity are driven by cultural diversity.
Research suggests that the globalization of humanity is pushing many indigenous languages and cultures in threat of extinction. The population of spoken languages worldwide is believed to be approximately 7000, with 5000 of these being native. The preservation of some 2500 indigenous languages is at risk, and many more are losing their connection to the natural environment. 847 multiple languages are spoken in Papua New Guinea, thereby making it the country with the greatest variety of speakers. Those spoken by 1000 or fewer people are the main languages in danger of extinction out (Held & Anthony, 2004).
Globalization is having an impact on the sources of medicine as languages, cultures, and customs have deteriorated. Numerous indigenous people are familiar with the plants and animal parts found in their area, including flowers, herbs, and other delicacies. These folk remedies might provide some guidance for creating new western medications.
Threatened by globalization's negative impacts on cultural heritage, the majority of African and Middle Eastern nations are experiencing a globalization crisis that is negatively affecting their rich cultural heritage. Because of the severe consequences of globalization, many cultures around the world are gradually disappearing (Moghadam, 2008). Languages are considered to be the most important way in which globalization poses a danger to culture. . People should re-assess the significance of their cultural heritage in light of the advancement of globalization.
It is a must that each one of us preserve our culture and tradition to refrain it from being extinct. We shouldn’t let the globalization vanish our culture. We must do something in our own little ways to help fight the threat of extinction of our cultures.
Here are some of the things that you can do to preserve your culture:
1. Join clubs and associations locally that are tied to you culture.
2. Share your cultural tradition with others to maintain it.
3. Promote your culture’s art and technology.
4. Share your culture through food.
5. Look back by reading history, stories, or poems about your culture.

M3: Political Globalization
"FOR A BETTER LONG HAUL, LET THERE BE PEACE FOR ALL. CONVERSATION, NOT CONFRONTATION"
Following the devastation of World War II, the United Nations was established in 1945 with the maintenance of global peace and security as its primary objective. The UN accomplishes this by striving to avoid war, supporting parties to conflict to negotiate to a peaceful settlement, dispatching peacekeepers, and establishing the foundations necessary for peace to persist and flourish. These activities frequently cross over and must support one another for full efficiency.
One of the most efficient methods the UN has discovered for assisting nations navigate the hazardous route from war to peace is peacekeeping. Today's multidimensional peacekeeping operations are needed to support constitutional processes, the holding of elections, the protection and advancement of human rights, the restoration of the rule of law, and the intensification of legitimate state authority. They are also needed to protect civilians, support political processes, protect civilians, aid in the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration of former combatants, and to facilitate political processes.
In the UN news about Haiti, it is reported that a fund established by the organization is assisting the government's efforts to restore security and stability in the nation by fostering peace, preventing violence, enhancing justice, strengthening the rule of law and security institutions, and fostering resilience among Haiti's most vulnerable citizens.
In terms of political globalization, the United Nations continues to provide a positive impact to people and countries all over the world. The world is being at peace and secured due to the protection that the United Nations provide. The United Nations really lives by its motto which is “peace, dignity, and equality on a healthy planet.

M2: Economic Globalization
"FAST FASHION: TOO FAST, TOO FURIOUS!"
Globalization began gaining popularity in the fashion industry in the 1980s. Transnational firms, cyber technology, and digital mass media were all publicly exposed to consumers. Traditional fashion industries and clothing stores were finding it challenging to keep up with the ever-increasing demand for trendy apparel as a result of the globalization of fashion, which created an unexplored market. Fast fashion is popular since it is manufactured cheaply, which minimizes production costs and enables businesses to sell trendy items rapidly and at reasonable rates. Almost anyone may now afford to dress in the newest fashions due to this approach. The cycle repeats once more when trends evolve and consumers' willingness to alter their current wardrobes to adapt to the new look.
Fast fashion may enable customers to purchase more clothing for less cost, but it also creates massive environmental health concerns to individuals who work in or live nearby to textile production facilities. In addition to that, massive amounts of textile waste are now found in landfills and unmanaged environments as a result of increasing consumption practices. Additional risks arise from textile dyeing since untreated wastewater from dyes is frequently disposed into neighboring water systems, releasing heavy metals and other environmental toxins that may drastically affect the health of nearby individuals as well as animals.
An economic globalization plays a significant role in the fast fashion, and this is a huge challenge that we have been facing today across the globe. It may have a positive impact on the consumers because of its low cost, but our health and environment are being drastically affected in a negative way. Research on the negative health effects of fast fashion at every phase of the supply chain and the post-consumer process is getting more and more relevant. Advances made in this field will help to transform research findings into public health policies and practices that promote ethical and sustainable production.
Here are some of the actions that we can do to help avoid fast fashion:
1. Buy second hand or buy clothes in thrift stores.
2. Invest in the kind of clothing that are timeless.
3. Choose clothing which are ethically made.
4. Ensure that the materials used are sustainable.
5. Buy local clothes.
