𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐔𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲

Give and take, they say—but sometimes, giving means more than receiving.
Material things are not the only ones we can offer, service, time, and gratitude can mean just as much.

Our school is more than a place of learning, it is our second home. And in this home are our utility personnel, our silent guardians, our second parents, who keep our surroundings clean, and our spaces safe. Because of them, we are able to focus on learning, to dream freely, and to grow without fear.

Last December 18, 2025, the USC-YCC offered a simple Handog Pamasko to our utility personnel as a heartfelt thank-you. One student from each level of Science Major were also given. It may have been small, but it carried a message about the essence of Christmas. May this spirit of giving inspire us to serve others with love.

𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱, 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲

Last time, they were the ones clapping; now, they were being clapped. On December 19, 2025, at the CE Multipurpose Hall of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University–Mid La Union Campus, the Pinning Ceremony of the College of Education was held. Their uniforms gained not just an extra accessory, but something that completed their college journey.

In line with that, 32 practice teachers from the Science major joined and claimed their spots. After going through the needle’s hole, fighting worries, and stumbling through challenges, they now stood and started living the life in the field they had chosen. Those nameplates hanging on their chests were their identity, their reminder of how far they had come from their dreamer selves. Surely, the child in you was clapping for you, ma’ams and sirs!

Congratulations to all officially pinned Pre-Service Teachers! Shine bright like your nameplates for every challenge you overcame led you to this moment. May you continue to inspire minds, touch lives, and shape the future of education.
