Today, with grateful hearts, we join in thanking God as Archbishop Lavarias celebrates his 22nd Episcopal Anniversary!

Thank you, Apung D**g, for two decades and more of faithful service and selfless dedication to the Church. In every season, your presence and fatherly wisdom are still the counsel we seek as we strive to walk closer with God. May your love for Christ, the Good Shepherd, continue to illuminate the path for all of us here in your MGCS family.

On July 29, 2026, on the Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, MGCS was honored to welcome one of the newly ordained priests of the Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. John Paul T. Toting. The seminary community celebrated the Holy Mass presided over by Among JP.

On July 15,2026, MGCS welcomes back home one of her sons who was recently ordained to the sacred order of presbyters, Rev. Fr. Allan Paul L. Mariano The seminary community celebrated the Holy Mass presided by Among Allan.

On July 22, 2026, the Feast Day of Saint Mary Magdalene, MGCS welcomed back Rev. Fr. Kavin A. Simbulan, a recently ordained alumnus of the seminary. The community gathered for a Holy Mass presided over by Among Kavin.

We thank God today for the gift of our dear Seminary Fathers. As you faithfully carry out your sacred ministry, your wisdom and example remain still the counsel we seek in our journey of faith. May you always be a guiding light to the flock entrusted to you, sustained by Our Mother’s constant reminder—to do whatever her Son tells you.

The second day of the Triduum in preparation for the seminary’s 76th Founding Anniversary began with the community gathered in prayer, honoring Mary, Our Mother of Good Counsel.

In the afternoon, the seminarians enjoyed a series of traditional Filipino games that brought back fond childhood memories while strengthening the bonds of fraternity.

In the evening, the community celebrated the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Carmelo Agustin, another alumnus of the seminary who is also celebrating his 25th anniversary in the priesthood.

To conclude the day, the seminarians took part in “Urong Sulong,” a lively quiz bee that tested each group’s knowledge.

As we continue our journey toward the celebration of our 76th Founding Anniversary, we seek Mary’s guidance, asking her to lead us ever closer to her Son.

The first day of the Triduum in preparation for the seminary’s 76th Founding Anniversary was celebrated with great joy.

The entire seminary community began the day with the Triduum Prayers in honor of Mary, Our Mother of Good Counsel.

In the afternoon, the different groups took part in an Amazing Race, fostering brotherhood and teamwork through fun and meaningful games.

The day concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Melchor Sitchon, one of the seminary’s alumni who later served as a formator and is now celebrating his 25th anniversary in the priesthood.

As we prepare to celebrate another year under Mary's loving guidance, we also give thanks for her constant counsel and maternal care throughout the years.
