In line with its commitment to promoting inclusivity, respect, and gender responsiveness in education, Maasin Community Elementary School successfully conducted the Capacity Building Activities on SOGIESC (S*xual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and S*x Characteristics) participated in by the faculty and staff of the school.
The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ awareness and understanding of gender sensitivity, equality, and inclusivity in creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all learners and personnel. Through meaningful discussions and shared insights, the training served as an avenue to strengthen professionalism, respect for diversity, and the importance of upholding the rights and dignity of every individual regardless of gender identity and expression.
Maasin Community ES remains dedicated to fostering a culture of acceptance, empathy, and inclusive education that empowers both teachers and learners in the community.
