As part of the culminating activities for the 2025 School-Based Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week, Libas National High School conducted the selection of the Most Structured NDEP Corner, an initiative that recognizes learning spaces that best reflect preparedness, organization, and strong advocacy for drug abuse prevention.

Through this activity, NDEP corners were evaluated based on their cleanliness, organization, visual advocacy materials, and the relevance and clarity of their health and drug prevention displays. The effort of advisers and learners to maintain an environment that promotes safety, discipline, and well-being reflects the school’s commitment to sustaining a drug-free and health-conscious learning community.

The Most Structured NDEP Corner competition also highlights the importance of integrating advocacy into everyday school spaces, turning classrooms into hubs of awareness where learners are constantly reminded of the value of making responsible choices, protecting their health, and rejecting harmful influences.

Libas National High School’s BKD/NDEP Club extends its appreciation to all participating advisers and learners for their dedication and cooperation in advancing the school’s mission of fostering a safe, organized, and advocacy-driven environment. Their efforts greatly contribute to strengthening the overall goals of the 2025 DAPC Week and supporting the vision of a safer and healthier “Bagong Pilipinas.”

As part of the weeklong observance of the 2025 School-Based Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week, Libas National High School conducted a series of advocacy-centered competitions aimed at strengthening learners’ awareness on drug abuse prevention and promoting responsible, health-oriented decision-making.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kalusugan ay Pinapahalagahan, Droga ay Iniiwasan,” the school implemented meaningful activities that provided opportunities for creativity, reflection, and expression.

Learners showcased their communication skills through the Essay Writing Contests in both Filipino and English, where they articulated thoughtful insights on the importance of drug prevention, the consequences of substance abuse, and the vital role of the youth in shaping a safe and drug-free society. These essays reflected their ability to analyze real-life issues while strengthening their literacy and advocacy skills.

In the Poster Making Contest, learners translated their understanding of the theme into compelling visual artworks. Using symbolic imagery and expressive color combinations, their posters conveyed strong messages of health awareness, discipline, and resilience against negative influences. The activity highlighted the learners’ artistic talents while reinforcing the value of visual communication in promoting social responsibility.

Meanwhile, the Slogan Making Contest allowed learners to craft powerful and concise statements advocating for wellness and a drug-free lifestyle. Their slogans captured the essence of prevention and encouraged others to make informed and positive life choices.

The 2025 DAPC Week activities were conducted on November 24–28, 2025.

Collectively, these activities provided a meaningful platform for learners to demonstrate creativity, awareness, and leadership in advocating for a safer and healthier school community. Libas National High School extends its appreciation to all participants, advisers, and committees for their active support and collaboration in the successful observance of the 2025 DAPC Week.

As part of the weeklong observance of the 2025 School-Based Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week), Libas National High School conducted a film showing activity designed to raise awareness on the harmful effects of drug abuse and reinforce the importance of making responsible, health-protective decisions.

Through this activity, learners were able to engage with relevant and thought-provoking audio-visual materials that highlighted real-life situations, consequences, and lessons related to drug prevention. The film showing served as an effective platform to deepen learners’ understanding of the value of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, staying away from harmful influences, and contributing to a safe and drug-free school environment.

By integrating educational media into the celebration, the school aims to empower learners with knowledge that strengthens resilience, promotes informed decision-making, and supports national and division efforts toward drug abuse prevention. Libas NHS remains committed to nurture responsible and well-informed individuals who uphold the core values of wellness, discipline, and good citizenship.
