"Reverence for sacred things is the greatest manifestation of a vital spiritual quality; it is a by-product of our connection to holiness and reflects our love for and proximity to our Savior, Jesus Christ."

-Elder Ulisses Soares
April 2025 General Conference

The Apostle Paul taught that we should “bear … one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Accordingly, our baptismal covenants require that we should be “willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light; yea, and [be] willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort.”

-Elder L. Whitney Clayton Of the Presidency of the Seventy
(Gen. Con. October, 2009)
