Kumusta, KaPEERS? How have you been doing lately?

We genuinely hope you've been holding up well. If things have felt overwhelming, tiring, or heavy recently, please know that it's okay to feel that way. You're not alone in what you're going through, and it's always okay to take a pause and care for yourself.

As we observe ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก, we are reminded of the importance of acknowledging stress and understanding how it affects our thoughts, emotions, and well-being. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about stress and encouraging everyone to take small but meaningful steps toward healthier coping, self-care, and emotional balance. Sometimes, simply recognizing how we feel is already a powerful first step toward healing.

That is why we prepared a simple activity meant to help you slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in a gentle and engaging way.

A light and mindful game that encourages small acts of self-care, reflection, and calmness, because even the simplest actions can help ease stress and bring comfort to your day.

Take your time. Be kind to yourself. And remember, you deserve rest, care, and understanding. ๐Ÿ’š

Celebrated every November 13, World Kindness Day is a special time to remind everyone how important it is to be kind. It's a day to spread love, care, and happiness wherever we go. Simple things like smiling, helping others, or saying kind words can already make someone's day better.

Kindness is like a warm light that brings people together and makes the world a happier place. Let's keep that light shining by doing good and sharing kindness every single day.

On October 28, 2025, PSUnians gathered at the Campus Covered Court for a special event all about mental health. The theme was "๐‘ป๐’๐’ˆ๐’†๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’“ ๐’‡๐’๐’“ ๐‘ด๐’†๐’๐’•๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’•๐’‰: ๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ท๐’๐’˜๐’†๐’“ ๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ฌ๐’Ž๐’‘๐’‚๐’•๐’‰๐’š ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘จ๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’—๐’† ๐‘ณ๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‡๐’๐’“ ๐’‚ ๐‘ฉ๐’†๐’•๐’•๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ท๐‘บ๐‘ผ ๐‘ช๐’๐’Ž๐’Ž๐’–๐’๐’Š๐’•๐’š." The event was focused on showing how important it is to take care of our mental well-being and how we can all help each other by being kind, understanding, and supportive.

The event started with a workshop led by Ms. Sarah Dominique S. Rico, a psychologist from PSU Lingayen. In her session, Ms. Rico taught us how to actively listen to others and practice empathy. She showed us how to clear our minds, let go of our worries, and understand others by putting ourselves in their shoes. It was a fun and important way to remind us that listening carefully and being kind can help people feel better.

Following the workshop, the event showcased the 40-Second Help A Peer Video Advocacy entries, created by students from various programs. These short videos were designed to raise awareness about mental health and encourage the campus community to offer support to those facing mental health challenges. The videos aimed to empower individuals to reach out, seek help, and remind others that they are not alone in their struggles.

One of the best parts of the event was the Thumbprints of Support: United for Mental Health activity. Everyone got to stamp their thumbs on a special ribbon board as a sign of support for mental health. It was a simple but powerful way to show we care and are ready to help those who need it most. The event ended with the Unity Song, where everyone sang together to show our support for mental health. To make the day even sweeter, free ice cream was given to all attendees, spreading smiles and happiness everywhere.

This event wasn't just about talking about mental health, it was about doing something to help. It reminded us how important it is to listen, be kind, and support each other when we need it. By coming together as a community, we can make sure everyone feels heard, loved, and cared for.

In the end, the message was clear:

On October 28, 2025, PSUnians gathered together to participate in a meaningful event focused on Su***de Prevention and Mental Health Awareness Month. The event was all about talking openly about mental health, helping people feel safe to share their feelings, and making sure that no one has to go through tough times alone. We wanted everyone to feel like they're supported and that their voices matter. The event was organized by the Guidance and Admission Services in partnership with the Peer Facilitators Circle and the Supreme Student Council.

The Peer Facilitators Circle prepared a variety of activities to engage participants. Among the highlights were the free face-painting session, where officers from the Supreme Student Council joined the PFC officers and members to lend a hand. Another activity, "Chalk the Walk: Coloring the Path to Mental Well-Being," invited PSUnians to express themselves through art created with chalk. This offered a creative outlet for PSUnians to communicate their thoughts and feelings in a visual way.

The "Threads of Hope and Wisdom" activity allowed participants to write messages on sticky notes, which were then hung on a thread for all to see. This simple act of writing and sharing helped create a safe space where people could express their emotions, thoughts, and hopes. By giving PSUnians the opportunity to release what they had been keeping inside, the event aimed to offer a sense of relief and connection.

Through these activities, it was our hope that, even for a brief moment, everyone felt seen, heard, and valued. Although these may have seemed small, these gestures were meant to have a big impact on participants' mental well-being. The event not only provided an opportunity for expression but also contributed to creating a supportive community where mental health was recognized as a priority.

We believe that by holding more events like this, we can create a community where everyone understands and cares for each other, making it easier for people to ask for help when they need it.
