A meaningful day of compassion and connection unfolded during the 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜. 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, this heartfelt initiative was thoughtfully prepared and carried out by the dedicated Second Semester Caregiving students, guided by their shared commitment to serve and uplift the community.

With the theme “𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲,” the activity featured interactive educational talks, value-centered storytelling, and engaging games that brought joy and learning to the children. More than just fun, the program fostered kindness, cooperation, gratitude, and unity—proving that even the smallest acts can create lasting impact.

This meaningful endeavor was successfully spearheaded by our 𝓓𝓮𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓭 𝓢𝓻. 𝓓𝓸𝓻𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓮 𝓒. 𝓢𝓾𝔂𝓴𝓸, 𝓐.𝓡 and 𝑴𝒔. 𝑴𝒂. 𝑳𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒔 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒐, whose guidance and support made the outreach truly impactful. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Bargayo and Sr. Doraine for their expertise, patience, encouragement, and dedication to shaping not only competent caregivers but also compassionate individuals. 💐

Indeed, this outreach program stands as a beautiful reminder that 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝—𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚.

The 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓. Through this activity, we were reminded that regardless of our number, we can always create a more engaging and enjoyable experience together.

This team-building activity was made possible through the collaboration and teamwork of the caregiving students. Through their well-prepared activities, everyone was actively involved, creating an atmosphere of unity, laughter, and cooperation. It was truly a meaningful experience that strengthened not only as a caregiving students but also our bonds as a group.

Overall, the activity served as a great reminder of the importance of collaboration, communication, and 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴.

The 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒅-𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝑩𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒊𝒅𝒘𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒚 students took a moment to pause, reflect, and share their thoughts and insights after a truly meaningful recollection. Sharing was done in groups, and in those moments, there was a quiet purity—a light that touched every heart.

The day wrapped up with fun and thoughtful team-building activities organized by our year-level leader, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙆𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙮𝙢𝙢 𝘽. 𝙏𝙚𝙟𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨. Each activity reminded us of the importance of collaboration, communication, and working together as a team. It showed us how simple, positive words can leave a lasting impact, quietly touching hearts and inspiring each of us.

By the end of the day, the sense of togetherness filled the room. We left not just with memories, but with a 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬, 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴. These experiences remind us that caring for mothers, newborns, and families goes beyond clinical skills—𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 to support one another every step of the way.

𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.🤍

BSM 2, headed by Kathleen Calunsag, took part in a meaningful sharing and team building experience, where they reflected on the topic of letting go. As they answered what struck them most from the talk many realized that letting go is not about losing something, but about making space for growth, peace, and new beginnings. It’s a process that requires courage, acceptance, and trust in what lies ahead.

After sharing, they dove into team-building activities like Puzzle Solving, Unity Yarn Maze, and Knots of Challenge. They learned that communication goes beyond words, trust makes challenges lighter, and patience untangles difficulties.

More than just games and entertainment, this year's team building activity led by batch leader 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗘. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗮 is a testament to the power of unity, collaboration, and compassion. It is an opportunity to nurture meaningful relationships, celebrate individuality, and embrace diversity within a shared mission.

Through every interaction and every exchange of stories, we strengthen our commitment to becoming not only skilled individuals but also empathetic and dedicated servants of the community.

We celebrated the recollection of the Institute of Caregiving and Midwifery through the Holy Mass, reflecting on the Gospel John 8:1–11, which teaches us the true meaning of forgiveness. Jesus reminds us not to judge others, for we are all imperfect and in need of God’s mercy. Through forgiveness, we learn to let go of past mistakes, grow spiritually, and become better individuals.

With our Mass presider, 𝑅𝑒𝓋. 𝐹𝒶𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒥𝑜𝒽𝓃 𝐹𝓁𝑜𝓇𝑒𝓃𝒸𝑒 𝐵𝒶𝓇𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑜, together with students from BSM 1, 2 & 3 and Caregiving, this recollection became a meaningful reminder to practice compassion, humility, and understanding in our daily lives. May we continue to carry God’s love in our hearts and always choose forgiveness.

This year’s recollection was facilitated by 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐠. Through his thoughtful sharing, we were encouraged to go beyond our boundaries, reassess ourselves, and reflect on whether who we are today is still aligned with who we once were. Looking back on the past and learning what to let go of is one of the most difficult things to do, yet it is also one of the purest acts of love—it is through this that we find freedom and begin to heal.

One of the most meaningful moments of the recollection was when Seminarian Roy Sandag invited everyone to stand and express “sorry” and “thank you” to anyone they wished. In that moment, we witnessed genuine reconciliation—tears were shed as individuals approached one another, followed by laughter as they embraced and found comfort in each other’s presence.

A successful Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness and Prevention Talk was recently conducted for Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSM) students from 1st to 3rd year. This informative and meaningful activity aimed to deepen students’ understanding of TB—its causes, transmission, prevention, and the importance of early detection and proper treatment.

The initiative was spearheaded by 𝓜𝓼. 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓪 𝓔𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷 𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓻𝓸, 𝓚𝓻𝔂𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓵 𝓒𝓱𝔂𝓶𝓶 𝓣𝓮𝓳𝓸𝓷𝓮𝓼, 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓘𝓻𝓪 𝓥𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓲𝓪, whose passion and commitment to promoting public health awareness were clearly evident throughout the session. Their efforts helped create an engaging and educational environment that encouraged active participation and learning among the attendees.

This activity was made possible under the guidance and supervision of their dedicated clinical instructors, 𝑀𝓈. 𝑀𝒶𝓇𝒾𝒶 𝐿𝑜𝓊𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓈 𝐵𝒶𝓇𝑔𝒶𝓎𝑜 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝑀𝓈. 𝑀𝒾𝓇𝒶𝒷𝑒𝓁 𝒞𝒶𝓇𝒶𝓂𝑜𝓃𝓉𝑒, whose support and expertise ensured the success of the program. Their mentorship continues to inspire students to become competent, compassionate, and proactive healthcare professionals.
Through activities like this, we strengthen our collective mission to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote preventive practices against TB.

Together, we take one step closer toward building a healthier, informed, and TB-free community. 💙
