More than a ceremony, this occasion marks the transition from nursing students to Student Nurses a step forward into greater responsibility, compassion, discipline, and excellence in the service of others. As the cap is placed, the pin is received, and the candle is lit, may these symbols serve as a lasting reminder of the commitment to care, to serve, and to uphold the dignity of every life entrusted to a nurse.πŸ’š

Nourishing lives, caring with purpose, and serving with compassion! πŸ’š

Today, July 31, 2026, the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation Inc. (VMUF) College of Nursing, in proud partnership with the Research, Innovation, and Community Extension Office, successfully hosted Project M.A.R.T.I.N.: Nourish, Care, Compassion β€” a Community Pantry and Hot Meals Initiative at the Henyo Corner & Medicine Building.

Led by Dean Maria Theresa R. Aguilan, our dedicated Student Nurses' Organization (SNO) officers and Level 2 nursing students came together to distribute warm meals and build a community pantry. We were deeply honored to serve the hardworking tricycle drivers, VMUF employees, fellow students, and VMMC patients.

Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to promoting and maintaining the healthy well-being of the community through nursing service. We are proud to support:

🌾 SDG 2: Zero Hunger

🩺 SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being

πŸ“š SDG 4: Quality Education

🀝 SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Together, let us continue to build healthier, stronger, and more compassionate communitiesβ€”one meal, one act of kindness, and one community at a time. ✨
