Tandoc National High School Conducts Parents Orientation on the Three-Term School Calendar
On June 10, 2026, the Tandoc National High School Covered Court became a hub of learning and collaboration as the school held its Parents Orientation on the Three-Term School Calendar. The event gathered over 400 parents and guardians from both Junior High School and Senior High School, demonstrating strong community involvement and support for the new academic structure.
The program began with a warm welcome from Ms. Julia C. Tagulao, School Principal IV, who expressed her appreciation to all attendees and highlighted the importance of parental participation in school initiatives. She also distributed tokens to parents who arrived early as a simple gesture of recognition. In her message, she emphasized, “Your presence today shows your commitment to your children’s future and to the success of our school.”
Following this, Ms. Emily N. Tamondong, Master Teacher I in Mathematics, presented the purpose of the orientation, stressing the importance of understanding the new system for better support at home. An inspirational message was then delivered by Mr. Bernardo P. Bautista, SPTA President, who underscored the shared responsibility of education between the school and families.
The core discussion of the program was delivered by Dr. Gilbert Baysic, Master Teacher II of the English Department, who explained the Overview of the Three-Term School Calendar. He clarified how the school year is divided into three terms to create a better balance between learning and rest, helping students manage academic demands more effectively. He reassured the parents by saying, “This system is designed to make learning more meaningful and manageable for our students.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Dranreb S. Resngit, Master Teacher I of the Science Department, discussed the Revised Guidelines on Classroom Assessment, Grading System, as well as Awards and Recognition, helping parents understand how student performance will be evaluated under the new structure.
Ensuring student welfare remained a priority as Dr. Jeniffer C. Galsim, Guidance Counselor Designate, presented the school’s policies on Child Protection Policy, Anti-bullying, and Code of conduct, emphasizing the importance of a safe and respectful learning environment.
The orientation concluded with Mr. Pedro Z. Laguitao II, Master Teacher II of the Senior High School Department, who discussed the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum and outlined the ways forward, encouraging continuous cooperation and open communication between parents and the school.
Overall, the event was successful in equipping parents with essential knowledge about the Three-Term School Calendar. It strengthened the partnership between the school and the community, ensuring that learners of Tandoc National High School are supported both in school and at home as they navigate the new academic system.

Tandoc National High School Opens SY 2026 with Generosity, Inspiration, and Readiness for Change

TANDOC National High School — The opening of School Year 2026 at Tandoc National High School (TNHS) was marked by a spirit of hope, generosity, and renewed commitment to academic excellence, as students, faculty, and distinguished guests gathered for a meaningful and engaging first day of classes.
The highlight of the opening program was the distribution of school supplies to 37 financially constrained learners, a gesture made possible through the generosity of philanthropist Leopoldo Dulay, The initiative aimed to ease the burden on underprivileged students and ensure that they begin the school year equipped with essential learning materials.
Mr. Dulay underscored the importance of education as a powerful tool for changing lives. His contribution was warmly received by both students and parents, who expressed gratitude for the timely assistance. The distribution not only provided material support but also inspired the learners to pursue their studies with greater determination.
Meanwhile, Tandoc National High School took this opportunity to prepare students for academic changes, as an orientation on the new curriculum was conducted. The session was spearheaded by Dr. Dominador Fermin III, Head Teacher III of the Communication Arts Department. Dr. Fermin emphasized key updates in the curriculum, highlighting its learner-centered approach and its goal of enhancing critical thinking, communication skills, and adaptability among students in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape.
The event was further graced by Dr. Rogelio de Guzman, Public Schools District Supervisor of District V-A, who delivered an inspiring message to the learners. He challenged them to study diligently, persevere through difficulties, and remain focused on their dreams. “Education is your greatest investment,” Dr. De Guzman noted. “With discipline and determination, you can overcome any obstacle and achieve success.”
Adding to the inspiring atmosphere, Dr. Julia C. Tagulao, School Principal IV of TNHS, warmly welcomed the students and staff. In her message, she encouraged learners to embrace the new school year with optimism and resilience. She also reaffirmed the school’s commitment to providing quality education and a supportive learning environment for all.
To help new students adjust to their academic journey, the teaching and non-teaching personnel of TNHS were also introduced during the program. This familiarization activity aimed to create a sense of belonging and ease among learners, particularly the incoming students, as they begin their high school experience.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 DAY 5: Tandoc NHS Achieves Full School Readiness Through Stronger Community and Literacy Partnerships

Tandoc National High School successfully wrapped up its week-long Brigada Eskwela 2026 campaign today, June 5, 2026, securing total school readiness through the unified support of local government leaders and key stakeholders.

Embodying the Department of Education's national theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” Day 5 was marked by an inspiring demonstration of grassroots leadership. The school administration proudly recognizes Brgy. Capt. Luis "Bob Jutie" and the local council of Brgy. Quintong for their vital contribution and presence, ensuring that community-led volunteerism remains at the heart of our campus preparations.

This local support directly complemented our crucial administrative partnership with the Office of the City Civil Registrar of San Carlos City, Pangasinan, which streamlined birth certificate and document verifications for parents processing final enrollments on-site.

Simultaneously, Tandoc NHS prioritized academic recovery for the incoming school year by reinforcing the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning Program in Reading (ARAL-Reading). To equip our students for immediate academic success, free pocket dictionaries were distributed to bolster vocabulary and literacy development. These efforts were reinforced by essential sanitation and hygiene supplies donated by corporate partners like Wellmade Manufacturing Corporation, ensuring clean and protected classrooms.

School Principal Julia Tagulao, alongside the faculty and staff, extends her warmest gratitude to all stakeholders, partners, and volunteers whose unwavering support continues to make Brigada Eskwela a success. Tandoc National High School is officially ready to welcome our learners for the opening of classes on Monday, June 8, 2026!
