It was an enriching day focused on observing exemplary practices, exchanging innovative governance strategies, and strengthening inter-LGU camaraderie.

HAPPENING NOW | Honoring Our Senior Citizens Aging 80–89 Years Old

The Local Government Unit of San Benito is currently conducting the Payout for Senior Citizens aged 80–89 years old, with each qualified senior citizen receiving financial assistance funded by the Local Government Unit.

This initiative is a manifestation of the LGU’s continued commitment to recognizing and supporting our senior citizens who have contributed greatly to our families and community.

The program is under the leadership of our beloved Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ma. Gina Sumando-Menil, whose administration continues to promote programs that uphold the welfare and dignity of our senior citizens.

Ang Social Pension Payout para sa mga Indigent Senior Citizens ipahigayon sa August 19, 2026 (Merkules), sugod alas 8:00 sa buntag hangtod alas 2:00 sa hapon sa Municipal Gymnasium, Barangay Talisay, San Benito.

Para sa PERSONAL NGA PAG-CLAIM:

1. Original na National ID (kung naa) o Senior Citizen ID
2. Photocopy (xerox copy) sa ID na naay tulo (3) ka pirma o tamla sa ubos

REQUIREMENTS FOR UPLIFT PAYOUT:
Para sa personal na mo claim:
1. Physical Valid government ID
2. One (1) photocopy of valid government-issued identification card, preferably the Philippine National ID, or any of the alternative valid IDs prescribed under the program guidelines.
3. For beneficiaries with wrong spelling: Deduplication Certificate (Annex 2B)

Para sa mag-authorization:
Authorization is allowed ONLY IF THE BENEFICIARY IS DECEASED, PHYSICALLY INCAPACITATED, OR MENTALLY INCAPACITATED,
Only a household member of legal age reflected in the beneficiary's Roster of Household Members, as verified through the UPLIFT Pay Application, may claim on behalf of the beneficiary.

TODAY | July 29, 2026

In celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week, the Local Government Unit of San Benito successfully held a meaningful activity highlighting this year’s theme, “Rights First, Legislation Forward: Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development”, where PWDs from the six barangays of San Benito proudly showcased their talents, demonstrating their abilities, creativity, and resilience. 💙♿

The celebration also featured an informative discussion on “Health and Wellness for PWDs” covering nutrition, mental health, physical activity, and rehabilitation, delivered by Dr. Rose Ann T. Almoite.

As part of the LGU’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the PWD sector, all attending PWD beneficiaries received 5 kilograms of rice and their quarterly subsidy amounting to ₱750.

This meaningful celebration was made possible through the leadership and continued support of Hon. Ma. Gina Sumando-Menil, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Emmanuel Menil, Municipal Vice Mayor, whose dedication to promoting an inclusive and empowered community continues to uplift the lives of persons with disabilities.

We are overjoyed to share that the NCSC Expanded Cash Gift Distribution for San Benito's octogenarians and nonagenarians was a huge success! ❤️👵👴

The initiative aims to provide financial support and honor the invaluable contributions of San Benito’s elderly residents. Our Lolas and Lolos, who are aged 80,85,90 and 95 are the true treasures of our community.

A massive thank you to the National Commission of Senior Citizens - Caraga for their hard work and this wonderful program, and to our community for always looking out for one another. Here’s to keeping our elders healthy, happy, and loved! 🌟✨
