Duck, Cover, and Hold!
Yesterday, June 18, 2026, West Dirita Elementary School successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)!

Our learners, teachers, and staff showed great discipline and alertness as they practiced the standard safety protocols. From executing the perfect "Duck, Cover, and Hold" under their desks to safely evacuating to the designated open areas, everyone proved that safety is a top priority at West Dirita ES.

Regular drills like this ensure that our school community is always prepared, calm, and ready for any emergency.

WEST DIRITA ES HOLDS GENERAL PARENTS' ORIENTATION FOR SY 2026-2027

WEST DIRITA, SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES — West Dirita Elementary School successfully conducted its General Parents' Orientation yesterday, June 11, 2026, to strengthen home-school collaboration for the upcoming academic year.

School administrators and faculty briefed parents on vital student welfare and academic updates, headlined by the implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program and the new Guidelines on Learning Continuity in Emergencies to ensure uninterrupted education during crises. Additionally, speakers discussed the transition to the new Three-Term School Calendar in Basic Education, alongside the Revised Guidelines on the Grading System and Awards and Recognition. A key highlight of the assembly was the official presentation of the newly elected School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Officers, who will lead the school-community partnership.
The assembly wrapped up with a unified pledge from teachers, parents, and the newly introduced SPTA leaders to work hand-in-hand, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-achieving learning environment for every WDES student.

UNANNOUNCED EARTHQUAKE DRILL SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED

Earlier today, June 9, 2026, West Dirita Elementary School successfully conducted an unannounced earthquake drill.

Without prior warning, our learners, teachers, and staff instantly executed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocol and evacuated to the designated safe zones. This surprise exercise is part of our commitment to ensuring that the entire WDES community is always prepared, alert, and safe during real emergencies.

We commend everyone for their quick response, discipline, and orderly evacuation!

OBE 2026 Monitoring

On June 8, 2026, West Dirita Elementary School successfully underwent a comprehensive "Oplan Balik Eskwela" monitoring to ensure its readiness for the upcoming academic year.

The evaluation was spearheaded by Sir Sol Solomon, Senior Education Program Specialist, who reviewed the school’s administrative and operational plans, alongside Sir Ramil Delos Reyes, Dentist II, who inspected the health and sanitation facilities to guarantee learner well-being.

The visit concluded with highly commendable feedback, validating the school's proactive efforts to provide a safe, organized, and conducive learning environment for all returning learners.
