MANGROWS
Increasing an Intertidal Zone Protection Through Mangrove Planting

“Planting mangroves today, reaping the benefits tomorrow. The students of BEEd 2 blk. 2 inspire us to be stewards of our intertidal zones, safeguarding their beauty for generations to come.”

The students of BEEd 2 blk. 2 conducted a mangrove planting activity to strengthen intertidal zone protection in Sitio Riverside, Mabini, San Andres, Romblon last May 30, 2023.

The Mangrove Planting activity was attended by 30 students from BEEd 2 blk. 2 and three teachers from RSU-San Andres Romblon, with the theme "Increasing the Intertidal Zone Protection through Mangrove Planting." This is part of their requirement for the subject Prof ed 3.

The said activity began with a short program hosted by James Ken Gadon as the master of ceremony. A prayer led by Lovel Almoheda was also offered. This was followed by a welcome address by Ma'am Lovely Joy F. Farquerabao. Sir Vince Gado also conducted a short orientation on mangrove propagule planting. Afterwards, the mangrove planting took place, which lasted for about 30 minutes. The program concluded with the awarding of certificates to the participants.
