ELECTION ADVISORY: In line with the campaign season, the COMELEC identified Common Posting Areas for candidates' campaign paraphernalia.
From March 14 (NUCSG) and March 21 (CSC) to April 4, there are bulletin boards located in the Main Bldg, Activity Area, and Annex Building near the elevators.
But before you rush to post, here's the lowdown:
• Posters can't exceed 2x3 feet in size.
• Must bear the signatures of the CSE Chairperson or Deputy Chair in his absence, or the SDAO Director, CSE Adviser, or SDAO Representative in their absence, (wet or e-signature).
• Clear of malicious content and any violations of the 2022 Student Election Code, especially the rules and regulations.
Let's uphold the integrity of our campaign and elections. After all, democracy's watching!

With the official list of candidates now out, we are thrilled to inform you that it's now the time to kick off the campaign season!
Following the CSE calendar, the campaign period for NUCSG candidates will commence on March 14, while CSC candidates will begin their campaigns on March 21, both officially concluding on April 4, 2024 🗓️.
It is imperative to adhere with the guidelines set by the COMELEC. Listed below are the rules and regulations for the campaign season. For more details, you may read the 2022 Student Election Code posted in our bulletin board near the Social Hall.

The National University - Commission on Student Election is pleased to announce the release of the Official List of Candidates for the upcoming student elections.
A total of ninety-one (91) students have stepped forward to run for various positions, representing the diverse student body of National University. Among them, twenty-six (26) candidates hail from the NUCSG and sixty-five (65) from Student Council. Fourteen (14) candidates boasts from the CTHM, eleven (11) from the COA, nine (9) from the CBA, CCIT, and COE each, eight (8) from the CAH and five (5) from CEAS.
We encourage all students to carefully consider the platforms of each candidates as you prepare to cast your votes in the upcoming election.

Election Advisory | Re: Ballot Documentation
The last day for ballot documentation is today–February 27, 2024. Candidates who have not had their pictures taken yet must visit the SDAO between 9 am and 5 pm. They are required to wear their respective uniform. If there are valid reasons for their inability to do so, candidates must message or email the NUCSE with their proof. Any further inquiries should be directed to us via email at [email protected].

ADVISORY | Today, February 23, 2024, marks the last day of Filing of COC. Candidates with unsigned Good Moral Certificate Form may still submit their documents noting them as 'pending' candidates. In line with this, they are still required to acquire the signature from the DO until Monday, February 26. Once the DO discovered that running candidates have unacceptable offenses, their candidacy will be terminated. In contrary, eligible candidates will take their oath upon completion of all requirements. After a thorough review, the COMELEC body will release the official list of candidates.
It is imperative that student-leaders set as a good example to our fellow Nationalians. As Aristotle said, "He who cannot be a good follower, cannot be a good leader."
Earlier Today | February 23, 2024, aspiring candidates from Partidong YUGTO and PRISMO have filed their COC at Student Development and Activities Office for university-wide election which will be on April.
The Filling of COC is until Friday, February 23 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at SDAO except for CTHM candidates which will be extended until February 26, 2024. Meanwhile, the documentation for the ballot is until February 27.

📌 The National University – Commission on Student Election will extend the Filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) candidates until Monday, February 26, 2024 due to CTHM Tour. All other candidates must SUBMIT their requirements (COC) on the given calendar announced by the CSE (February 16-23, 2024). Non-compliance with the given timeline will not be entertained.
📌 Candidates in any Political Party who may not be able to submit their COC shall present their representative providing his/her authorization letter.
In line with this, all candidates are expected to stop by at SDAO for Ballot documentation purposes from the day of their filing until February 27, 2024 ONLY.
ELECTION ADVISORY| Official Commencement of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) Filing
In accordance with the established schedule outlined by the CSE, the official filing period for the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) is set on February 16 (Friday) to February 23 (Friday), not including the weekend, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the SDAO (Student Disciplinary Affairs Office).
Candidates should ensure the completeness of their requirements prior to submission, as follow-ups for missing documents will not be entertained. Candidates who have incomplete requirements must complete whatever is missing before proceeding with the submission process.
This procedural requirement aims to facilitate a smooth and efficient filing process, ensuring that all candidates meet the qualification for candidacy. We encourage all aspiring candidates to adhere to the specified timeframe and guidelines to facilitate a seamless filing experience.
ADVISORY | RE: Hard copy of request form for Certificate of Good Moral Character for aspiring candidates
In line with the preparation of filing of COC, the Disciplinary Office has given an advisory that a request form for Good Moral Character will be obtained from NU-CSE. A representative from a political party will be given at least one copy of the form, while independent candidates are expected to get their copies themselves. You may visit us at the SDAO to acquire a copy of the form from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Following the acquisition, candidates shall fill out the form and must proceed to the Disciplinary Office to obtain the signature needed.

D-day has come for all student leaders who are seeking a position in this year’s university-wide election, to come to our doors and get a copy of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC). Starting this afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm up until February 14, 2024 (9am - 4pm), all aspiring leaders may visit us at the Student and Development Activities Office (SDAO).
In line with this, the COMELEC will ONLY provide the hard copy of the COC and will not be accessible online. This stipulation is irrevocable.
Political parties may send their representative to get a copy of COCs for their roster of candidates, the entire candidates need not to get it individually. However, INDEPENDENT candidates are expected to get their copy.

Following the conclusion of the accreditation period for partylists, the COMELEC body has thoroughly reviewed all submissions, ensuring a fair and transparent process in accordance with the Student Election Code 🗳️. We are pleased to announce the final list of accredited student political parties.
Among these, there are three accredited political parties, one representing the college level and the remaining two are university-wide. The esteemed parties approved by the Commission are as follows:

UGNAY Partylist;
and Partidong YUGTO
