Ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon ay sumusuporta sa ika-50 taong pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Nutrisyon, na may temang "Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!"

Tuon ng pagdiriwang ngayong taon ang kahalagahan nang Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023-2028 at ang pagkakaroon nito ng matibay na suporta mula sa iba’t ibang lebel ng sektor upang maisakatuparan ang layunin nitong masugpo ang lahat ng uri ng malnutrisyon sa ating bansa.

Sa pagtataguyod ng 2024 Nutrition Month campaign, inaanyayahan ng DepEd ang mga Regional at Schools Division Offices, kabilang ang mga paaralan na makiisa at magbigay ng kanilang suporta para sa PPAN.

Kaya’t mga ka-Deped, halina't makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Nutrisyon ngayong Hulyo para sa mas malusog na kinabukasan ng lahat, lalo na nang ating mga mag-aaral!

ASTNHS commences NLC Implementation with orientation session

Adela S. Torres National High School marked the beginning of its second year
implementation of the National Learning
Camp with an orientation session held today, July 1, 2024. The event aimed to prepare Learning Camp Volunteer Teachers,
students enrolled in Intervention, Consolidation, and Enhancement Camps, and parents for the educational program.

Officer-In-Charge Gladylyn Sasa and School Testing Coordinator Kirby Anareta conducted a comprehensive briefing, explaining the goals of the NLC as outlined in Division Memorandum No. 475, s. 2024, titled "Division Implementation of the National Learning Camp (NLC) and other Activities for the End-Of-School-Year (EOSY) Break."

NLC Coordinator Aldrin Cabuyao presented the weekly schedule for campers and LCV and secured parental consent for the use and posting of student images in school’s social media page, ensuring compliance with DepEd Memorandum
OM OUOPS-2024-05-03942, titled "Guidance on Posting Learner's Images or Data Postings on Social Media."

The orientation session prepared the participants for a productive and enriching NLC experience.

SCHOOL MEMORANDUM
SM No. 031, s. 2024

ENROLLMENT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2024-2025

1. In adherence to DepEd Memorandum No. 032, s. 2024 titled "Enrollment Guidelines for School Year 2024-2025," this office announces the conduct of enrollment from July 3-26, 2024.

2. The Basic Education Enrollment Form (Enclosure 1) shall be required for incoming grade 7 learners, Balik-Aral, and Transferees while a Confirmation Slip (Enclosure 2) shall be required for old students (Grades 8-10) to confirm their enrollment. A copy of Enrollment Form and Confirmation Slip shall be issued by the Enrollment Focal Persons during enrollment.

3. The school head has designated enrollment focal persons for a smooth enrollment transaction (Enclosure 3).

4. Enrollees are required to submit the following requirements:
For Grade 7, Balik-Aral, Transferees :
• Duly Accomplished Enrollment Form
• Original and Photocopy of SF 9( Report Card)
• Photocopy of Birth Certificate (PSA/LCR copy)
• Certificate of Good Moral Character

5. On the transmission of school records such as SF 10/Form 137, only school's authorized personnel shall transmit the learners' records. Schools shall not compel learners and/or their parents/legal guardians to take responsibility in the transmission of learners' records.

6. All activities and events related to enrollment shall be properly documented to ensure accurate records and facilitate future evaluation and monitoring.

7. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP (NLC) AND KICK-OFF
CEREMONY

1. Relative to DM-OUCT-2024-097 titled "Specific Guidelines for the Effective Implementation of the National Learning Camp and other Activities for the 2024 End-Of-School-Year (EOSY) Break" and Division Memorandum No. 475, s. 2024 titled "Division Implementation of the National Learning Camp (NLC) and other Activities for the End-Of-School-Year (EOSY) Break," this office announces the conduct of a 30-minute kick-off ceremony and a Collaborative Expertise Session (LCV Planning and Preparation) for the implementation of the NLC. The NLC comprises three camps:
Intervention, Consolidation, and Enhancement Camps, running from July 1-19, 2024.

2. The NLC aims to close learning gaps and assist learners in all public elementary and secondary schools nationwide in attaining the learning standards.

3. The School shall conduct a 30-minute kick-off ceremony on July 1 to motivate participants and set a positive tone for the program. Learners enrolled in the NLC and their parents are encouraged to participate in the ceremony.

4. To ensure the attainment of the goals and objectives of the NLC, School Head shall facilitate the Collaborative Expertise Session (Learning Camp Volunteers Planning and Preparation), adhering to the prescribed schedule of Collaborative Sessions and classes per camp. (Please see Enclosure 1)

5. All activities and events before, during, and after the conduct of the NLC shall be properly documented to ensure accurate records and facilitate future evaluation and monitoring.

6. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

Second Quarter NSED | June 28,2024

Manatiling handa sa banta ng lindol! Makiisa sa Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill sa ika-28 ng Hunyo, alas dos ng hapon. Sabay-sabay tayong mag-duck, cover, and hold dahil !

Katuwang ang iba't ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, patuloy na pinagbubuti ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD) ang pagsasagawa ng NSED.

Ngayong Second Quarter NSED nakatakdang dumating sa Metro Manila ang tinatawag na assisting regions upang makilahok sa full scale exercise.

Sila ay ipadadala sa mga itinalagang lokasyon kung saan magtatayo ng alternate emergency operations centers. Nakabase ito sa Harmonized National Contingency Plan for Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake due to West Valley Fault movement na sentro ng NSED.

Ang NSED ay isa lamang sa paghahanda mula sa lindol. Bagaman nakatutulong ito, hindi ito sapat. Marami ang dapat isakatuparan at pagtibayin gaya ng engineering solutions at building code compliance.

Patuloy na makiisa sa mga paghahanda. Mahalaga ang kooperasyon ng iba’t ibang sektor sa mga programa, proyekto, aktibidad at maging sa mga polisiya na may kinalaman sa paghahanda mula sa lindol at iba pang panganib.

Sabi nga nila, huwag ipagpabukas ang mga bagay na kaya mong gawin ngayon.

A copy of the Enrollment Form is available at the School’s Front Desk for Grade 7 students, Balik-Aral, and transferees.

For Old Students (Grades 8-10), the Confirmation Slip can also be obtained at the School’s Front Desk and will be provided by the enrollment focal persons.

At 2:21 pm today, 19 June 2024, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte went to Malacañang and tendered her resignation as Member of the Cabinet, Secretary of the Department of Education, and Vice Chairperson of the NTF-ELCAC, effective 19 July 2024.

She declined to give a reason why. She will continue to serve as Vice President.
