The Nightingale's Luminaries together with the Nursing Department Faculty initiated a send-off mass at the NU Nazareth Chapel last December 19, 2024. The mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Joseph Gil Alonso, started at 10 AM, and attended by the faculty, students, and alumni. The Thanksgiving mass aims to offer a heartfelt gratitude as all the examinees passed their Nurses Licensure Examination last November 9 and 10.
The mass was followed by a small gathering and talks by the PNLE passers. They shared their wisdom and own experiences to the level IV students in preparation of their own licensure examinations.
Ms. Lea Maxine Macaraeg, one of the PNLE 2024 passers and a topnotcher, was the first to share her thoughts and experiences before and during the examinations. She motivated the level IV students who are currently taking their Course Enhancement (CE) as she mentioned, "We are in the process of learning, what is important is ung pagbawi sa susunod," and "If kinaya ko, kinaya namin, and kakayanin nyo rin." She also mentioned her everyday mantra that helped her in overcoming her everyday battles and encouraged the students in repeating after her, "I am strong, I am smart, and I got this."
Her heartfelt sharing definitely inspired and motivated the students who were listening. Other passers also did their part in talking in front of the crowd and shared their own thoughts and experiences as well.

Today, we commemorate the life and patriotism of our national hero, Dr. Josรฉ Rizal, whose dedication courage, and love for our country continue to inspire us all.
As Rizal once said, "Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan". May we honor his sacrifices by carrying his ideals forward, shining as luminaries of hope, unity, and empowerment within our community.
May his spirit live on in our hearts as we work together to create a brighter future

Last Wednesday, December 18, the "Bantay Kalusugan 101," a medical mission organized through special collaboration efforts of Philippine Medical Alliance of Alpha Mapulon - PMAAM and The Nightingale's Luminaries took place at Barangay Ramon Magsaysay in Quezon City, embodying the essence of community health by providing essential medical services to local residents. This heartwarming day featured multiple stations, including Triage for initial patient assessments, a Vital Signs station to monitor health indicators, and Blood Typing for safe medical practices. The locals also benefited from Complete Blood Glucose (CBG) testing to screen for diabetes, along with a Pharma station offering free medications and health education.
The dedicated healthcare professionals of Ramon Magsaysay's Rural Health unit conducted thorough consultations, ensuring that each participant received personalized advice to improve their well-being. This medical mission not only addressed immediate health concerns but also fostered a sense of unity and support within the community, highlighting the vital role of accessible healthcare for everyone.
This kind of initiative proves our commitment to providing equitable healthcare access, bringing together Nightingale Luminaries members, the Nursing faculty, and passionate volunteers to deliver essential health services and education to those in need.
Together, we continue to forge connections and foster a culture of health advocacy.
In service and excellence as we work towards a healthier community!
