DMNHS Conducts School Safety Drill to Strengthen Campus Preparedness

Del Monte National High School_IGACOS conducts a School Safety Drill at exactly 10:00 AM on September 28, 2026, as part of the school’s continuing efforts to prepare its community for possible emergencies, threats, and unexpected incidents within the campus. The activity brought together learners, teachers, school personnel, and safety partners in a coordinated exercise designed to promote awareness and readiness.

The drill was initiated under the leadership of School Head Menjie Antiporta, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe and prepared school environment. The activity provided the school community with an opportunity to practice appropriate responses to situations that could potentially cause harm, confusion, or commotion inside the campus.

Teachers actively participated in the activity by assisting learners and helping maintain order throughout the safety exercise. Their full support demonstrated the important role of school personnel in guiding students toward calm, organized, and responsible actions during emergency situations.

SDRRM Coordinator Mark Gil Romarate facilitated and coordinated the safety drill, ensuring that the activity followed an organized sequence of procedures. His leadership helped strengthen the coordination among the different groups involved and reinforced the school’s commitment to disaster risk reduction and emergency preparedness.

The activity was further strengthened by the presence of PNP personnel PCpl. Jerick Bonares, who provided support and guidance in promoting campus security and safety. His participation gave the school community an opportunity to become more familiar with the proper coordination and response that may be needed when security related incidents arise.

The CVO of Barangay Del Monte also joined the activity, demonstrating the importance of cooperation between the school and the community in maintaining a secure learning environment. The participation of external safety partners highlighted the need for strong coordination and collective action when responding to possible threats and emergencies.

Through the School Safety Drill, Del Monte National High School strengthened its preparedness, awareness, and coordination in responding to possible harm or commotion within the campus. The activity served as a practical reminder that safety is a shared responsibility, requiring the cooperation of school leaders, teachers, learners, and community partners to keep the school a secure and protected place for learning.
