COMSE UPDATE | FILING OF CANDIDACY OFFICIALLY CLOSED

As of 9:00 PM today, August 20, 2026, the Filing of Certificates of Candidacy for the PAGPINILIAY 2026: Special Election is officially CLOSED.

The SICC Commission on Student Election (SICC-COMSE) sincerely thanks all students who took the opportunity to step forward and submit their Certificates of Candidacy.

With the filing period now concluded, we will proceed with the next stages of the election process. We encourage all SICCians to stay updated through the official SICC-COMSE page for the upcoming announcements.

The Samal Island City College Commission on Student Election (SICC-COMSE) officially announces the upcoming "𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧", which will be held on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗖 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺.

This Special Election is an opportunity for every eligible SICCians to exercise their right to vote and take part in choosing the leaders who will represent the student body.

By the power vested in the Commission on Elections of SICC, and upon the completion of the canvassing, verification, and certification of all votes cast, we hereby 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 of the recently concluded student election.

With a total of 𝟐,𝟎𝟑𝟏 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭, representing 𝟓𝟔.𝟎𝟖% 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝟑,𝟔𝟐𝟏) comprising 𝟏,𝟖𝟑𝟖 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 (𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟗𝟑 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 the election process has been successfully concluded in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the Commission.

This morning’s Convocation Ceremony proudly marked the official 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, headed by Jeremy D. Sedano, Head of the Student Affairs Unit, and warmly welcomed by Doc Jennifer Gonzaga, Acting College Administrator.

Last April 22, 2026, 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 became a meaningful milestone as students actively exercised their right to vote and made their voices count in shaping the future of student leadership.

Conducted by the SICC–Commission on Elections, the event highlighted the importance of democracy, responsibility, and student participation in selecting leaders who will serve and represent the student body.

Every vote cast symbolized the hopes, trust, and aspirations of students for a stronger, more united, and empowered academic community.
