This is Togo, a Siberian husky who was embalmed to become immortal. Togo covered 550 km in 100 hours. The race against time was to bring anti-dphtheria serum to Alaska, which at the time was experiencing an outbreak of dephtheria - a serious disease that affects the respiratory system.

Togo was the leader of the pack that pulled the sledges 40 degrees below zero. This dog was responsible for saving the lives of many children. His deeds pay homage to the present day.
