The 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 (𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐂) successfully conducted its 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, highlighting the importance of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and accountability in shaping future criminology professionals.

More than a routine departmental activity, the formation provided the students with an avenue to strengthen their sense of responsibility, develop proper bearing, and practice the values of order and cooperation. Each movement, instruction, and formation served as a reminder that discipline is built through consistency, while leadership is developed through responsibility and action.

The activity was supervised by the 𝐁𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐌 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲, whose guidance and supervision ensured the students’ proper conduct, coordination, and adherence to the standards of the department. Leading the formation were the 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, who took charge of troop accounting, formation, and inspection. Their leadership emphasized proper bearing, discipline, attentiveness, and order, while providing students with an opportunity to experience responsibility and leadership in action.

As the department continues to conduct its weekly formations, it remains committed to developing students who embody discipline in character, confidence in leadership, and dedication to service. These activities go beyond physical preparation. They help shape future criminologists who are prepared to uphold professionalism, integrity, responsibility, and excellence in the field.

The 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 (𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐂) successfully conducted its 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, reaffirming its commitment to fostering discipline, professionalism, and unity among future criminology practitioners. The weekly formation continues to serve as an essential avenue for developing the values, character, and leadership expected of students preparing for careers in law enforcement and public safety.

The activity was led by the 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, who ensured the orderly conduct of 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐩 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Their leadership reflects the responsibility and competence they have developed through academic training and internship, while serving as role models for their fellow Criminology students. Under the supervision of the 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲, headed by 𝐌𝐚'𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐄. 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦, 𝐌𝐒𝐂𝐉, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝, together with the department's faculty members, whose continuous guidance and commitment strengthen the culture of discipline and excellence within the program.

Through initiatives such as the weekly formation, the 𝐁𝐒 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 continues to uphold its mission of producing competent, disciplined, and service-oriented future law enforcement professionals who embody integrity, accountability, and leadership.

THE BS-Criminology Department of Samal Island City College (SICC) successfully conducted its 2nd Weekly Formation on July 29, 2026, continuing a long-standing tradition that has become a symbol of discipline, professionalism, and students' unity. More than a weekly gathering, the formation serves as a continuous process of forming and shaping students' character—the very essence of the BS Criminology tradition at SICC.

Pioneering 4th Year BS Criminology students as interns now lead the formation, applying the values and leadership they have developed over the years. Under the guidance of Department Head Ma'am Jessa May Tirado, Intern Coordinator Sir Juniel Oblianda, and the Criminology faculty, the interns mentored their juniors, instilling discipline, responsibility, and respect.

The formation included troop accounting, roll call attendance, rank inspection, departmental announcements, and final instructions.

Their composed presence reflected discipline and professionalism, while their role ensured the smooth flow of the program, embodying the leadership and standards they are trained to uphold.

Every step they took toward this achievement was shaped by encouragement at home and mentorship in school. FORMation for TRANFORMation: Improving or changing Criminology student’s behavior, character, and mindset for better version.

April 08, 2026__The Bachelor of Science in Criminology of Samal Island City College conducted it's weekly formation (Wednesday) strengthening student's discipline, responsibility, and proper conduct similar to what is practiced in law enforcement. It also prepares our future law enforcers by practicing proper conduct, respect for authority, teamwork, and adherence to rules—values that are essential in the field of public safety and law enforcement. The activity includes uniform and rank inspection and serves as an opportunity to demonstrate determination, dedication and to listen to updates from the institution.

The weekly formation was organized by the BS Criminology Department and was attended by the Bs-Criminology Program Head Jessa May Tirado, together with the Bs- Crim Faculty and Staff, BS Crim Local Councils, Officers, and all Criminology students of SICC - working together to uphold the values of discipline, unity, and service.
