AN ACT SEPARATING THE COGON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – VILLARICA ANNEX IN BARANGAY VILLARICA, ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL, PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL NORTE FROM THE COGON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

TO BE KNOWN AS NIEVES VILLARICA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled. Separation and Conversion into a National High School. – The Cogon National High School – Villarica Annex in Barangay Villarica, Island Garden City of Samal, Province of Davao del Norte is hereby separated from the Cogon National High School and converted into an independent national high school to be known as Nieves Villarica National High School. Transfer of Assets and Liabilities. – All personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Cogon National High School – Villarica Annex are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Nieves Villarica National High School. Appropriations. – The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department’s program the operationalization of the Nieves Villarica National High School, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Cogon National High School – Villarica Annex. Thereafter, the amount necessary for the continued operation of the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. Implementation. – The Secretary of Education shall issue rules and regulations that may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. Effectivity. – This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette. Approved, January 7, 2010.

Nieves Villarica National High School warmly welcomes Mission Motivators Asia, Inc. through its Southeast Asian Leaders (SEAL) Program for a meaningful day of Cross-Cultural Lecture, Variety Presentations, and the Sharing of the Word of God.

This enriching activity is made possible through the collaborative efforts of our Special Program Coordinators: Ma'am Eden Joy Y. Dybar (SPFL), Ma'am Romili R. Gaa (SPJ), Sir Jerold Rey L. Landayan (SPA), and Sir Raymund Paul B. Valdez (SPS), with the full support of our School Principal, Dr. Elizabeth A. Lacorte.

Together, we celebrate cultural diversity, strengthen faith, foster intercultural understanding, and empower our learners to become globally minded and values-driven individuals.
