RUN, HIDE, FIGHT!

Cogon National High School Conducts Its First Safety Drill of the Year

Cogon National High School successfully conducted a School Safety Drill on September 28, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and ensure the safety of learners and personnel.

The activity was headed by School Principal IV, Sir Noel P. Mamac, with the active participation of teachers, learners, school personnel, and the PTA President. The drill provided an opportunity for the school community to practice proper emergency procedures, evacuation, and coordinated response during possible emergencies.

The activity was also evaluated by the Philippine National Police (PNP), whose assessment provided valuable feedback on the school’s preparedness and response procedures.
Through this activity, Cogon National High School continues to promote a safe, prepared, and resilient school community, reinforcing the importance of cooperation and readiness in times of emergency.

Cogon National High School Proudly Showcases Best Practices in Regional National Educators Academy of the Philippines (RNEAP)

Cogon National High School proudly showcased its innovative practices in the Regional National Educators Academy of the Philippines (RNEAP) through the presentation of Sir Joram V. Castro. He highlighted the school’s effective approaches in monitoring learner progress and implementing interventions, including the use of electronic media through the My Cogon National High School App (MyCApp), a self-developed application available on the Google Play Store.

Among the best practices presented were Structured Weekly Progression, Hands-on Practice and Timed Drills, and Demonstrations and Verifications. These strategies provided systematic and engaging ways of monitoring learners’ progress, strengthening their skills, and verifying their competencies while addressing challenges encountered during the implementation.

The effectiveness of these practices was reflected in the 100% passing rate of the learners in the CSS NC II Assessment, a remarkable achievement that the entire school community can truly be proud of. Warmest congratulations to Sir Joram for proudly representing Cogon National High School and sharing these impactful practices that demonstrate the school’s commitment to excellence and improved learner outcomes.
