[ANNOUNCEMENT FOR NSTP-CWTS 1 STUDENTS]

Please be informed that the General Orientation for all NSTP-CWTS 1 students will be held on August 23, 2025 (Saturday) at 8:00 AM at the SICC Gymnasium. Attendance is strictly required as important guidelines and program expectations will be discussed.

Do not report to school tomorrow (August 16, 2025).

[𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊] 𝟰𝗧𝗛 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣-𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗬, 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Students of the National Service Training Program-Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) at Samal Island City College (SICC) celebrated the culmination of their service journey as they received their certificates of completion during the 4th NSTP-CWTS graduation ceremony held on June 16, 2025, at the SICC Gymnasium, with the theme, "From Training to Action: Building Communities, Shaping Futures."

The event marked not only an academic milestone but the valuable experiences gained through months of community engagement, service and teamwork.

College President, Dr. Jose Ersante Fuertes, represented by Mr. Carlos D. Manlapus, VP for Administration, Dr. Jennifer C. Gonzaga, VP for Academic Affairs, Mr. JamesRussell Husain, NSTP Coordinator, and the CWTS facilitators, led the awarding of certificates and extended their heartfelt greetings to the students.

Congratulations to all NSTP-CWTS graduates! May you continue to transform your training into action and build stronger communities for a brighter and more resilient future.

[𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊] 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣-𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗣𝗲ñ𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗮

Students under the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) successfully launched various community projects in the puroks of Barangay Peñaplata last May 2025. These student-led initiatives addressed local needs while promoting volunteerism, social responsibility, and community engagement.

Ranging from health programs and environmental cleanups to educational and nutritional support and livelihood training, the CWTS students showed active participation and cooperation in bringing their community projects to life.

The success of these projects emphasized the importance of integrating community service into education. With steadfast support from the SICC Community, the Local Government Unit of IGACOS led by Mayor Al David T. Uy, and the guidance of College President Dr. Jose Ersante M. Fuertes, SICC aims to strengthen these efforts to benefit more communities and students alike.

Kudos to all CWTS students and facilitators for your earnest endeavor and heart for service!

[𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊] 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣-𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 (𝗖𝗡𝗔) 𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗥𝗚𝗬. 𝗣𝗘Ñ𝗔𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗔

NSTP-CWTS students from different schedule codes, along with their facilitators, conducted a Community Needs Assessment (CNA) at Barangay Peñaplata, Samal District, last March 29, 2025, to identify the problems and priority needs of the community.

Each class was assigned to a particular 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘬 within the said barangay. Students gathered significant information from the residents of their assigned area through surveys and interviews regarding issues with health, education, environment, livelihood, and employment.

The results of the CNA will serve as the basis for crafting and implementing the CWTS students’ community projects for this semester. This initiative promotes respect, collaboration, and civic responsibility while ensuring the projects meet the community’s needs.

Currently, the students are preparing for their project implementation, which will commence in the month of May 2025.

We would like to inform everyone that 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 (𝙎𝙄𝘾𝘾) 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 for yearbook purchases, graduation fees, or any related expenses.

Participation in such activities is at the discretion of students and their families.
