𝗙𝗦𝗖𝗢, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 1𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

The Federated Student Council Organization, Inc. (FSCO, Inc.) convened its 1st Regular Meeting on September 25–26, 2026, at the Eastern Samar State University Guiuan Campus Function Hall, bringing together student leaders from the different Supreme Student Councils (SSCs) of the University under the theme, “United in Leadership, Strengthened by Fellowship, Committed to Service.”

The first day commenced with the Meeting Proper, which included the opening ceremonies and deliberations on organizational matters concerning the Federation and its member councils. The session provided the student leaders with an avenue to discuss matters pertinent to the organization and its respective councils.

The formal proceedings were followed by a Socialization Night, which provided a more informal setting for student leaders to foster rapport and cultivate interpersonal connections beyond their respective leadership responsibilities. Through a series of engaging activities, participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with one another, interact across campuses, and establish meaningful connections. The evening complemented the formal proceedings through fellowship and shared experiences.

On the second day, the participants visited the tomb of the late Cong. Felipe J. Abrigo, founder of Eastern Samar State University, as an expression of remembrance and recognition of his contribution to the University.

The gathering then proceeded with a meaningful dialogue with University President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan Jr. and the Campus Administrators of Can-avid, Borongan, Arteche, Salcedo, Guiuan, Balangiga, and Maydolong. The dialogue served as a platform for student leaders to present concerns and matters affecting their respective campuses. It provided an avenue for these concerns to be brought directly before the University administration, facilitating an exchange of perspectives between student representatives and administrators and fostering direct engagement between student leadership and the University administration.

The two-day gathering provided an avenue for organizational deliberation, fellowship, remembrance, and meaningful dialogue, bringing together student leaders from the different Supreme Student Councils and further strengthening inter-campus engagement within the Federation.

𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬-𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞

Employees and students of the Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Salcedo Campus conducted a campus-wide clean-up drive today, September 3, 2026, to eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites and help prevent the spread of dengue.

The clean-up drive covered classrooms, offices, hallways, school grounds, gardens, drainage systems, and the surrounding areas of the campus. Faculty members, administrative staff, and students worked together to collect garbage, clear areas where stagnant water could accumulate, and clean their respective areas. Participants used brooms, trash bags, dustpans, and other cleaning tools during the activity. The activity was organized in response to reported dengue cases in the nearby community and emphasized the importance of maintaining clean surroundings to reduce mosquito breeding areas.

The university also reminded the campus community to observe the 4S Strategy Against Dengue, which includes Search and destroy mosquito-breeding sites, Seek early consultation, Secure self-protection, and Say yes to fogging or spraying during targeted outbreak situations. The clean-up drive was conducted as part of the campus' efforts to maintain a clean and safe environment for students, faculty members, and staff.

𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲

The Eastern Samar State University – Salcedo Campus has issued Memorandum No. 2026-SSAA-09, announcing the conduct of a Campus Clean-Up Drive on September 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM onwards.

The activity aims to prevent the spread of dengue by eliminating possible mosquito breeding sites and maintaining a clean and safe campus environment.

All students, faculty, and administrative staff are encouraged to participate and observe the following:

• Clean classrooms, offices, and surrounding areas
• Eliminate stagnant water and potential mosquito breeding sites
• Properly dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness
• Bring appropriate cleaning tools and equipment

All concerned are advised to participate and cooperate in the implementation of this campus-wide initiative.

𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

The Eastern Samar State University - Salcedo Campus has issued Memorandum No. 2026-SSAA 07, dated July 16, 2026, announcing the implementation of enhanced campus safety and security guidelines for all students, faculty, and non-teaching personnel.

The directive outlines the following key measures:
• Mandatory wearing of school identification cards within campus premises
• Compliance with security screenings and inspections
• Immediate reporting of suspicious activities, objects, or behavior
• Adherence to all established school protocols and instructions

The memorandum also reiterates the prohibition of weapons, explosives, hazardous substances, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and other items that may pose risks to health and safety.

These measures are implemented to maintain a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for the entire academic community. All concerned are advised to observe strict compliance.
