𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠. 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠. 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨

SALCEDO, EASTERN SAMAR — House Minority Leader and 4Ps Party-list Representative Marcelino “Nonoy” C. Libanan and Assistant House Minority Leader and Eastern Samar Lone District Representative Christopher Sheen P. Gonzales led a site inspection today at the Eastern Samar State University Salcedo Campus for the proposed construction of a hotel with a golf course, restaurant, and function hall.

The proposed facility is being planned in preparation for the opening of the College of Hospitality Management at ESSU Salcedo. It is intended to provide students with opportunities for practical training and hands-on learning in hospitality operations, while also supporting related academic and institutional activities.

During the visit, they assessed the proposed project site and discussed the requirements and other considerations for the planned construction.

The project forms part of the continuing support and initiatives of Cong. Libanan and Cong. Gonzales for ESSU, particularly in strengthening the university’s facilities and providing infrastructure that will support quality education and practical learning opportunities for students.

The initiative has also been supported by ESSU President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., ESSU Salcedo Campus Administrator Dr. Eduardo A. Cablao, Jr., and other university officials, whose leadership and efforts have contributed to advancing the project in preparation for the university’s expansion into hospitality management education.

Joining the site inspection were 4Ps Party-list Chief of Staff Daniel C. Boco, Guiuan Municipal Mayor Annaliza Gonzales-Kwan, and Guiuan Municipal Councilor Kinna Mae Gonzales-Kwan Mabansag.

𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐋𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Eastern Samar State University Salcedo Campus recognized its successful Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) passers and topnotchers during its Charter Day Celebration and Tribute to the Passers held on August 10, 2026, at the Old Gymnasium of ESSU-Salcedo.

Among those recognized were Carmina S. Villaruel, who ranked seventh, and Michael L. Ida, who ranked ninth in the LEPT. Both received plaques of recognition and financial incentives, with Villaruel receiving ₱30,000 and Ida receiving ₱25,000 in recognition of their respective performances in the examination.

The celebration also featured the Commemorative Message and History of the ESSU Charter as part of the observance of the institution's Charter Day. Certificates and tokens were likewise presented to the successful LEPT passers. Villaruel and Ida shared their experiences and words of commitment during the Testimonials and Words of Commitment by the Topnotchers.

A Candle Lighting and Turnover Ceremony was also held for the newly licensed teachers, followed by a Toast of Success and Celebration. The campus also recognized faculty members who attained academic milestones through the Faculty Academic Achievement Recognition. The event was attended by ESSU-Salcedo officials, faculty from the different colleges, staff members, and students.

Today, we celebrate the first year in office of Dr. Eduardo A. Cablao Jr., Campus Administrator of Eastern Samar State University–Salcedo Campus.

Since assuming the leadership of the campus, Dr. Cablao, Jr. has remained committed to service, accountability, and academic excellence. His first year has been marked by continued efforts to strengthen the institution, support its academic community, and open new opportunities for growth and development. More than a milestone, this first year reflects a journey shaped by dedication, hard work, and the collective efforts of the ESSU Salcedo community. With a shared vision and continued cooperation, the campus moves forward toward a stronger and more progressive future.
