🗓️ Disbursement dates:
DECEMBER 9 - 12, 2025

Required documents for claiming:

✅ 2 photocopies of COR
✅ 1 copy of COG
✅ 4 photocopies of Valid Government-Issued ID: (e.g., School ID, Driver's License, Passport, etc.)

The Adopt-a-Student Project, an initiative of the ESSU Salcedo Alumni Association, is the brainchild of Dr. Hilarion A. Odivilas, a proud alumnus of ESSU Salcedo Campus (formerly SSAC). The Scholarship Office, Alumni Affairs, and the Office of External Affairs partnered with dedicated benefactors to 'adopt' freshmen students. These selected alumni scholars receive ₱3,000.00 per semester to support their education until graduation.

Eastern Samar State University Salcedo Campus, under the leadership of our Campus Administrator, Dr. Eduardo A. Cablao, Jr., together with the Head of the Scholarship Office, Dr. Hershey A. Abugadie, proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Shaine Gutierrez Laroga, a third-year student of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering program, for qualifying in the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – 2025 Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS).

Ms. Laroga is among the 49 distinguished qualifiers of the DOST JLSS Program in Region VIII, and one of the 6.56% of examinees nationwide (958 out of 14,609) who successfully passed scholarship examination. As a DOST scholar, she will be granted financial assistance and academic support to aid her continued pursuit of excellence in science and technology.

Once again, congratulations, Shaine, on this remarkable milestone and well-deserved recognition. Your hard work, dedication, discipline, and perseverance have truly borne fruit. The ESSU Salcedo family takes great pride and honor in your success, as you embody the excellence and academic quality that our institution stands for.
