📚✨ FIRST TERM SMEA, PTA ASSEMBLY, INDUCTION OF GPTA OFFICERS, SCHOOL HYMN LAUNCHING, AND CARD GIVING DAY ✨📚

Our school successfully conducted a meaningful and productive First Term School Monitoring, Evaluation and Adjustment (SMEA), PTA General Assembly, Induction of the Newly Elected GPTA Officers, Launching of the School Hymn, and Card Giving Day.

The activities served as avenues for transparency, collaboration, accountability, and strengthened partnership among the school, parents, teachers, learners, and other stakeholders in advancing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

The First Term SMEA provided an opportunity to reflect on the school’s accomplishments, assess the implementation of programs and activities, identify areas for improvement, and set appropriate directions for the succeeding terms.

Meanwhile, the PTA General Assembly reaffirmed the importance of strong home-school partnership in supporting the holistic development and academic success of our learners. The Induction of the Newly Elected GPTA Officers marked a renewed commitment to active leadership, service, and shared responsibility in achieving our school’s goals.

A significant highlight of the gathering was the launching of our School Hymn, which symbolizes our school’s identity, unity, values, and collective aspirations. 🎶💙

The day also culminated in Card Giving Day, where parents and guardians were given an opportunity to discuss and celebrate their children’s learning progress and accomplishments, while working together with teachers in addressing areas that need further support.

Indeed, these activities embody the spirit of Bayanihan and shared governance, reminding us that the education of our learners is a shared responsibility.

📚 ABAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
SCHOOL-BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) FOR TEACHERS

In support of the Department of Education’s commitment to the continuous professional development of teachers and the delivery of quality, inclusive, accessible, and learner-centered basic education, our school conducted the School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) for Teachers.
The activity provided a meaningful venue for teachers to engage in professional reflection, collaborative learning, and the enhancement of instructional practices responsive to the evolving needs of learners and the demands of the 21st-century learning environment.

The training covered the following key areas:
📖 Reflective Practice and Instructional Refinement in the Implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum
📚 ARAL Reading Program
🔢 Strategies for Promoting Literacy and Numeracy
💻 Reflective Practice and Instructional Refinement toward Accelerating Digital Adoption for Effective and Accessible Learning Delivery
💙 Enhanced Delivery of Guidance Services by Guidance Designates in School

Through these learning sessions, teachers were provided with opportunities to deepen their understanding, strengthen their pedagogical practices, share insights and experiences, and develop responsive strategies that support improved learner outcomes.

The conduct of the School-Based INSET underscores our shared commitment to lifelong professional learning, instructional excellence, innovation, and learner well-being. After careful consideration and in recognition of the need to safeguard the continuity of education, classes at all levels shall resume tomorrow, August 25, 2026. Government work shall likewise resume.

While the suspension of classes was necessary to ensure the safety of our learners, teachers, and personnel, the prolonged disruption has also affected the continuity of learning. With due consideration of the prevailing conditions, it is now necessary to resume classes and government work, while remaining vigilant and guided by official safety advisories.

This decision was made after due consideration, striking a careful balance between public safety and the urgent need to continue the education of our learners and the delivery of essential government services.

We urge everyone to remain vigilant and responsible. Let us continue to prioritize safety while ensuring that learning and public service move forward.
