BLUE FALCONS OVERTHROW PINK JAGUARS, 2–1
Grade 10–Blue Falcons defeated Grade 11–Pink Jaguars, 2–1, during a Battle for Gold match in the Volleyball Girls category of Sagay National High School’s Intramurals earlier this afternoon on August 13, 2026, at the Sagay National High School Volleyball Court.
These two teams met after a series of elimination games against the other grade levels. The Blue Falcons advanced with scores of 25–13, 23–25, 25–12.
In the first set, the crowd witnessed a series of rallies led by the Grade 10–Blue Falcons after consecutive communication errors by the Grade 11–Pink Jaguars.
The errors committed by the Jaguars increased the Falcons’ advantage throughout the game. Despite the Jaguars’ attempts to regain momentum by scoring on consecutive serves, the Falcons showed their strength by blocking the attacks and maintaining the gap as they won the first set 25–13.
After the Falcons’ early advantage in the first set, the second set began fiercely, featuring a back-and-forth exchange of scores from both teams. The Pink Jaguars gained momentum after repeatedly scoring against the Blue Falcons.
Staying behind for much of the set, the Blue Falcons caught up and tied the score, heating up the match as it approached its climax. After another exchange of serves, the Grade 11–Pink Jaguars seized the momentum and clinched the second set 25–23 over the Grade 10–Blue Falcons.
With the Pink Jaguars winning the second set to tie the match at 1–1, the game moved to a third deciding set.
After their previous loss, the Grade 10–Blue Falcons immediately dominated the early portion of the third set, building a 12-point lead. The gap they created hurt the Jaguars’ chances as the Falcons maintained a steady pace. They finished the match with a 25–12 score, ultimately winning gold with a 13-point advantage.
After both teams exchanged handshakes, the interaction marked the conclusion of a hard-fought battle between the Grade 10–Blue Falcons, and the Grade 11–Pink Jaguars.
