The Gender and Development, (GAD) and Inclusion Office actively joined the three-day Academic Summit on 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐃𝐆𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦.

The 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧 Program, a joint effort between 𝐍𝐂𝐃𝐀 and 𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐃 that brings early intervention and support services closer to children with disabilities and their families, is the focus of this advocacy video.

The State University of Northern Negros Celebrates 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡!🌈

The University radiated with color and pride on June 29, 2026, as the university united to celebrate PRIDE Month. The day began with a vibrant 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤, where students representing diverse 𝐒𝐞𝐱𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐎𝐆𝐈𝐄) joined forces to promote visibility and solidarity across the campus.
Following the walk, the Gender and Development (GAD) Inclusion Office Director led a pivotal "𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤" centered on the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. The session facilitated meaningful dialogue among the participants, underscoring the university’s unwavering commitment to fostering an equitable learning environment.

The celebration continued with a showcase of talent, skills, and creative expressions, highlighting the diverse voices within the university. The event successfully balanced education with celebration, fostering a spirit of joy and reflection. As the day concluded, the university community expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate authenticity.

This successful endeavor, held in collaboration with the University Student Government, reaffirms the State University of Northern Negros’ dedication to nurturing a culture of inclusive education where every individual is empowered to thrive.

On June 27, 2026, the 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 (𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐍), represented by the Director of the 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃) 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, had the privilege of conducting a comprehensive GAD training session for the 𝐋𝐂𝐂 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 (𝐋𝐂𝐂𝐅𝐂𝐌𝐏𝐂) officers and staff at the Northwest Inn Hotel, Bacolod City.

The primary purpose of the session was the 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬' 𝐆𝐀𝐃 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, ensuring a deeper understanding of the legal frameworks —from global standards, national mandates, and sectoral requirements—that guide our collective journey toward a more inclusive society. The day was marked by the participants' vibrant engagement and thoughtful contributions to the discussion.

𝗜𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗸𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻: 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻!

On the same day in 2022, Republic Act No. 11862 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act was enacted, strengthening Republic Act No. 9208 and reinforcing the government’s capacity to address modern forms of trafficking, including those facilitated by digital technology. This reflects the country’s sustained commitment to prevent exploitation, protect survivors, and ensure accountability for perpetrators.

PCW, together with the entire Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), remains steadfast in strengthening collaboration to combat human trafficking.
