RCY Camp 2025: Day 1 Highlights β€” The Journey Begins! πŸ§—πŸ»β€β™€οΈβ›°οΈ

The RCY Camp is officially back, and the Red Cross Youth of Sagay National High School SPRCY proudly joins this unforgettable adventure!

Day 1 kicked off with an early morning trip to Camp Amadura, Caduan, Cadiz City. After a quick breakfast, we hiked our way to the campsite, excited for what’s ahead. The camp was formally opened with the National Anthem, a prayer, the RCY Hymn, and an inspiring message from ma’am Divine.

After setting up our tents, we bonded through fun games and took a refreshing dip in the nearby stream β€” a perfect reward after the day’s challenges.

As the sun set, we gathered for dinner and ended the night around a glowing campfire. To cap off the evening, sir JL shared an eye-opening mental health discussion, reminding us of the importance of taking care of our minds as much as our hearts.

Day 1 down, memories made β€” and we’re just getting started.

Through this drill, we enhanced our knowledge and skills in proper earthquake response, evacuation procedures, and first aid ensuring that we are always ready to assist in times of need.

The Sagay National High School Red Cross Youth (SNHS-RCY) is stepping up in the fight against dengue! Through our Dengue Prevention Campaign, we are raising awareness, conducting clean-up drives, and educating our fellow students on how to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds.

πŸ’‘Why is this important?
Dengue fever, transmitted by infected mosquitoes, continues to pose a serious health risk, especially in densely populated areas like schools. A single mosquito bite can lead to severe illness, making it crucial for all of us to take preventive measures. By keeping our surroundings clean and promoting proper waste disposal, we can significantly reduce the risk of dengue outbreaks.

Dengue is a serious threat, but together, we can and ! Let’s keep our school and community clean, safe, and mosquito-free!

Our dedicated volunteers played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes during the District Meet held from October 16-18, 2024, in the vibrant city of Sagay. Their deployment was made possible by the unwavering commitment of all the Red Cross Youth volunteers who enthusiastically answered the call to serve humanity. Guided by the diligent efforts of our inspiring adviser, Ma'am Divine Fuentestina, these volunteers provided vigilant care, first aid, and invaluable support. Through their compassion, teamwork, and professional expertise, they truly embodied the spirit of the Red Cross, creating a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
