Representing the organization, Jay Malou T. Muyco, President of SUNN BMAP, attended the summit virtually via Zoom. The event served as a valuable platform for student leaders to engage in discussions on leadership, governance, and innovation, while fostering collaboration among future changemakers from various institutions.

With humble hearts, the SUNN BMAP appeals to everyone for prayers and support for the beloved grandmother of Shermaine Gambito, who is currently facing serious health challenges.

Shermaine's grandmother was recently diagnosed with pneumothorax (lung collapse) and urgently needs to undergo a CT Scan with Contrast. This procedure is crucial in helping her doctors determine the appropriate treatment and provide immediate medical care while her condition remains stable. The family is currently trying to raise the necessary funds to cover the cost of the examination.

In addition to her current diagnosis, she is also living with Type 2 Diabetes and kidney complications. Despite these challenges, she continues to fight with remarkable strength and courage, while her family does everything within their means to support her recovery.

During times like these, even the smallest act of kindness can bring comfort and hope. We humbly ask for the help of our community, friends, relatives, and all compassionate individuals. Any amount, no matter how small, will greatly help ease the family's financial burden. For those who may not be able to contribute financially, sharing this appeal and offering prayers for her healing are equally meaningful forms of support. Let us come together in the spirit of compassion and bayanihan, reminding one another that no family should face such hardships alone.

All donations received will be used solely for her grandmother's medical examinations, treatment, and other related healthcare expenses.

May our collective generosity and prayers become a source of comfort, courage, and healing for Shermaine's grandmother and her entire family. 🙏💙

This year's Pride Month celebration became a meaningful experience as the University Student Government, in collaboration with the Gender and Development Inclusion Office, hosted the event with the theme, "PRIDE: A Celebration of Diversity," at the AGM Hall on June 29.

From the vibrant Pride Walk to the engaging Pride Talks, the event celebrated diversity while highlighting the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces where everyone can freely express themselves, embrace their identities, and connect with others through the shared values of equality, acceptance, and love. The program also emphasized the importance of self-discovery and understanding one's identity as an essential part of personal growth. One of the event's highlights was the interactive question-and-answer session and open forum, where SUNNrays were given the opportunity to voice their concerns, ask questions, and share their experiences. The open discussions encouraged meaningful conversations, promoted awareness, and strengthened the sense of belonging within the community.

As Pride Month comes to a close, may its message continue to inspire us beyond this celebration. Let it serve as a reminder that acceptance is not limited to a single month but is a commitment we practice every day. May we continue to learn more about ourselves while striving to understand others with empathy, kindness, and respect. Happy Independence Day! 🇵🇭✨

Today, we commemorate the sacrifices of our ancestors who endured years of oppression, abuse, and discrimination, and who courageously fought for our rights and freedom. We all know that the freedom we enjoy today was not gained without a cost. Maraming dugong dumanak, maraming pamilyang nawasak at nawalan ng mahal sa buhay, at hindi mabilang na trahedya ang dinanas ng ating mga kababayang Pilipino upang makamit ang kalayaan.

As we celebrate this historic day, may we continue to honor their sacrifices not only through remembrance but also through our actions. Nawa’y gamitin natin ang ating kalayaan upang ipaglaban ang tama, makatarungan, at para sa kapakanan ng nakararami. Sapagkat hindi tayo tunay na malaya hangga’t may mga politikong patuloy na umaabuso sa kanilang posisyon at harap-harapang tinatraydor ang bayan para sa pansariling interes at kasakiman. Ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang isang pribilehiyo, kundi isang responsibilidad na dapat nating pangalagaan at ipaglaban para sa kasalukuyan at sa mga susunod na henerasyon.
