Today's ceremony also marked the official opening of the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa at Buenaventura M. Mahilum Integrated School celebrating the richness of the Filipino language, culture, and national identity.

As we pay tribute to our national flag today, we likewise reaffirm our steadfast commitment to fostering a culture of peace, discipline, and collaboration through the continued implementation of our school's PEACE and TAG Program. This significant occasion serves as a reminder that genuine patriotism is demonstrated not only through respect for our national symbols but also through our collective efforts to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility, and service within our school community.

Parents’ Orientation on the ARAL Program and Presentation of School Intervention Programs

The school conducted a Parents’ Orientation on the ARAL Program to strengthen the partnership between the school and parents.

During the orientation, parents were informed about the objectives, importance, and implementation of the ARAL Program, as well as the various intervention programs designed to improve the reading abilities of ARAL learners.

As part of the orientation, the school proudly presented the following intervention programs:

1. Project TEATROBASA: Improving Reading Fluency and Comprehension Through Theatrical and Dramatic Reading Activities Among ARAL Learners

This project was proposed by Ma'am Madhelle A. Manzo. The goal is to determine the effectiveness of drama-based reading strategies in improving the reading fluency, comprehension, confidence, and classroom participation of Grade 7–10 ARAL learners at Buenaventura M. Mahilum Integrated School. The intervention integrates readers' theater, role-playing, storytelling, dialogue reading, voice acting, and other performance-based activities to create engaging and meaningful reading experiences. Using pre-test and post-test assessments, observations, interviews, and learner reflections, the study evaluates how Project TEATROBASA supports literacy development and learner engagement among struggling readers.

2. Enhancing the Reading Ability of Grade 2 Pupils through Hyperlinked Multi-Ending Interactive Digital Stories (HMIDS)

This project was proposed by Ma'am Marlene E. Agustin. The goal is to enhance the reading ability of the Grade 2 pupils of Buenaventura M. Mahilum Integrated School by using Hyperlinked Multi-Ending Interactive Digital Stories (HMIDS), specifically to improve their reading comprehension, engagement, and participation in reading activities.

With the support and cooperation of the entire school community, especially the parents, the school is committed to implementing these intervention programs effectively. Through a strong partnership between the school and the home, the school aims to significantly reduce the number of ARAL learners and help every child achieve improved reading proficiency and academic success.
