The Measles–Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) and Vitamin A Supplementation started with a strong campaign in August, aimed at protecting our children and strengthening community health. With the united efforts of our health team, the steadfast support of the LGU and BLGU partners and the trust of parents, guardians and our community, this vision moved into full implementation across our barangays.

On the ground, our health and vaccination teams, together with our partners, worked tirelessly to reach every child, ensuring that they received the supplementation they need. Their dedication transformed this campaign into a successful reality.

As we concluded with the Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM), the results spoke clearly; the cooperation and vigilance of the community achieved fair coverage, once again proving that child health is a shared responsibility and a collective triumph.

MR-SIA & VITAMIN A SUPPLEMENTATION KICK-OFF | August 17, 2026

Every vaccinated child is one more umbrella opened, protecting not only themselves, but also the children around them.

The Municipality of Sagada officially kicked off the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) together with Vitamin A Supplementation, bringing our health workers, local officials, partner agencies, barangay representatives, parents and children together for one shared goal: To keep our children healthy and protected.

MR vaccination protects our children against measles and rubella and helps prevent these diseases from spreading in our community.

Vitamin A supplementation supports healthy growth, good vision and a strong immune system, giving our children added protection as they grow.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined and supported the kick-off, and most especially to our parents and caregivers for bringing their children and choosing to protect their health.

The campaign continues in our barangays. Together, let us reach every eligible child.

MR/SIA and Vitamin A Supplementation – Day 2!

Our vaccination teams continued their mission today, reaching more of Sagada’s children aged 6–59 months.

One team served the Eastern barangays of Antadao, Kilong, Tetep-an Norte and Tetep-an Sur, while another team headed to the Northern barangays of Aguid, Pide and Fidelisan.

A heartwarming highlight of today’s activity was seeing fathers accompany their children for the activity, a commendable gesture that shows strong parental support and shared responsibility for child health.

We extend our gratitude to our fathers, mothers, guardians, our BLGU & BHW partners and the community for their trust and cooperation in this campaign. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger community for our children’s future.
