Nasaytok pen warriors sharpen writing prowess in campus journalism

To enhance the writing knowledge and skills of student journalists and school paper advisers, AnkNHS conducted a two-day seminar-workshop on February 24-25, 2024 at the school's audio visual room.

Atty. Lanban Kyle Likigan of MPSPC discussed sports writing while Mr. Bobby Mc Gee Lee, adviser and teacher of Benguet NHS-SPJ talked on editorial writing in the morning of the first day of the seminar. Further, the school head of Malicgong ES Mrs. Ching Kilakil presented feature writing among the writers as the first topic in the afternoon. Mr. Lee ended the first day's session with his lecture on column writing.

Moreover, in the following day, copyreading and headline writing was introduced again by Mr. Lee whilst news writing and science and technology were lectured by Mrs. Casandra Dawey and Mrs. Junie Asuncion who are both advisers and teachers of the school.

The campus journalism training that catered student writers was financed by the PTA fund.

Noli Dagiw-a and Irish Taguindodo Reign Supreme as Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023

Noli Dagiw-a from Unit 1 Red Horse and Irish Taguindodo of Unit 4 Blue Tiger were crowned Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023 after a thrilling display of athleticism, charm, and talent. On November 25, students from different units came together to engage in sports and display their own talents at this yearly event.

The final stage of the competition gathered together the top contenders for the coveted titles of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023. As they addressed the panel of judges and the excited crowd, Noli and Irish, both outstanding contenders, showed confidence and grace. Their poise, coupled with their outstanding performances throughout the event, distinguished them as the clear frontrunners.

Noli Dagiw-a hailing from unit 1 Red Horse, captivated the judges and spectators with his charisma and talent. On the other hand, Irish Taguindodo, representing Unit 4 Blue Tiger wowed the audience with here undeniable grace, intelligence, and captivating presence taking home the best in talent award and best in casual wear award, and earning her the well-deserved title of Ms. Intramurals 2023.

After a nerve-wracking deliberation, the judges announced Noli and Irish as the winners of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023.The crowds erupted in applause and cheers as they congratulates them on their well-deserved victory and looks forward to their reign as the ambassadors of sportsmanship and unity.
